Cats dumped on us, need to get them fixed and out for adoption.

We live on a farm and had 4 young sibling cats dumped on us that we've been trying to manage, on top of my wife's health challenges, my FMLA status, and everything else.

I called a local vet and the cost of getting them all shots and getting them fixed would be close to $3,000. The woman on the phone said to mention that they were dumped on us at the appointment and they might work with us.

That's still too much money up front to get involved in this process, we just don't have that on hand to spend when we have so many other obligations.

Does anyone know of any organization or person, or anything, who can help facilitate taking care of the cats the right way? I have heard there are programs for this type of thing but I don't know. We are very overwhelmed and don't know what to do here. Any feedback or guidance would be greatly appreciated. We are located near Greenfield.

What would you say is the best stretch to take a 9 and 5 year old for ride on the bike path?

My mother used to take me for a ride on the bike path in Hadley when I was a kid. I have a 9 and 5 year old and would like to do something similar with them. But I forget where we used to start/end. And it's been 30 years.

Have any of you used the bike path recently? Is it still in good shape? Where would you recommend riding from-to?

Thanks for any suggestions you have!

I recently became disillusioned with my drive to work, and it was suggested to me to try listening to books on tape. It has changed my life! With kids and life happening I'm not able to fit in any DnD or MTG sessions anymore to scratch that creative itch.

I have just finished book 2. I'm about to get book 3 to continue listening on my commute but I'm wondering if you all suggest I take a break and listen to something else for a few weeks or continue on the journey now.

I grew up reading LOTR, this is the first time I've felt that same sense of curiosity and intrigue in a story. I'm so excited.
