I think the basic cryptguard and ghouls from Gw look a little boring. I have Ushoran who will soon be painted. (Lil cryptguard guy was the mini of the month at one point).

Monster mash?
I am considering an FeC army.
I play death guard in 40k so Im good at painting and building it just I really like ushoran and some other models like the varghulf. But the issue is that most of the ghouls models seem old and just not my style. Are monster mash armys a thing for this army? Are there any good proxys/conversions for the ghouls?

Helbrute/Castellax proxy?
The base size is the same (60mm) so technically its legal. Im thinking of painting the castellax in a dg paint scheme and make it a helbrute. I already have skitraii rangers as poxwalkers so it fits the scheme.
