So I’m a Freshmen in college, and I am considering to transfer, but I have no clue how HS GPA is weighted into the equation when applying to transfer.

I had around a 3.7 weighted GPA in HS, and like, no EC’s except an under the table job that I can’t report. Bombed the SHSAT (1360, I’m not reporting).

Since starting college this Spring, I have taken 24 credits, with 16 in progress this Fall, with a 3.96 GPA as a Biotech major.

My EC’s since are: 1) Served and discharge from military for medical reasons. 2) Medical Scribe at a clinic (present).

What is a realistic tier of colleges I should apply to? And how does my HS experience hold me back?

(Sorry if I’m being neurotic, I can’t find any detailed info about HS GPA’s effect on my chances)

Recently failed the CLEP with a 42. I just a need a 50 for credits to apply. How much preparation does this exam need? From taking the test, it feels like I need to read some books…do I? How did yall prepare😭 Modern state barely helped

I’m applying to some of the T20’s cause they offer free college for broke people like me, but does anyone know if there are any non-T25’s that also offer significant financial aid/are completely free?

For those going to a large public college (CC, City or State Universities), how do y’all get letter of recommendations from professors? I go to a large research university, and the STEM classes are always filled with thousands of students. How do y’all go about establishing any relationship with professors and faculty members?
