Please be nice! Feeling rather down today.

So my intended major is civil engineering but I’ve been working full time for over two years. Honestly the combination of that and school has totaled me completely. I failed Physics 2 last semester and then Chemistry 2 this semester. My other grades are not so bad.

I’m definitely going to quit my job to make some time for my studies (long overdue). But I am wondering if my chances of getting into grove are ruined. Ideally I wouldn’t want to wait more than a year to apply again. And I’m definitely up to do whatever it takes to get into the major I want. However, it all seems so hopeless right now.

I want advice from anyone who has experience or advice to share. What classes to take, who to talk to, whether it’s worth applying somewhere else, taking summer classes or what. I just want to know where to go and where to start. Thank you.

I did really bad in high school and I ended off for like a 2.7 GPA. I’m currently attending a private college and I’m looking to transfer. I have a 2.7 GPA again however I do have two letters of recommendation. Here’s the programs I want to get into:

comp sci - hunter, baurch, and john jay

game design - ccny

What are my chances.

Can someone clarify what a WU grade is? Is it more or less a W grade where it doesn’t affect GPA? Or is it something else, if so how many WU’s can you get in a semester?

Hey yall don’t be like me and walk away from donation tables around the school, do not be a nice person lol. Today there is a table for an autism program and they will sound all bubbly and shit then try to get you to make a donation. As to which made me walk away and I googled them, showing that 90% of their money doesn’t even go to charity. Do not make a donation. This is a warning to all my people walking up the hill towards the 1 train.

What’s the thoughts on Vivien Tartter. Ik she’s a psych professor and head of Academic Standards but I’ve heard so much bad things from her😭. People saying that she’s very rude and disrespectful to students, and when she doesn’t approve of students retaking classes again, they then panic as they can do anything about it now. What’s the deal with her?

Hi. I wanted to ask if anybody in grove knows that if I can get into the grove after 2 repeating F policies. Like when i took Calc 1 i did bad and in the end i didn't give final so my grade was F. And i repeated it and got C+. Then this semester I took Calc 2 and i think i won't br able to do gd in the finals either. So, I'm tryna skip the final and get a F to repeat it again.

But I'm very worried if it'll hamoer my admission to grove. Ik they look at all of our F's and repeating grades. But even after meeting all the requirements till the end, are they still gonna reject me for my two F's.

I'd be really grateful if anyone could help me if they know anything, cause the advisors r like they dunno. I'd appreciate y'all's help pls😭

do any of y’all know who Shania Chichester is for Bio 101. Have any of y’all taken her. Can’t find reviews on her teaching style. is she a better alternative to Fardad Firooznia. She may be the lab instructor as well but I’m not sure. Shania Chichester and Heriberto Moran as the professors for bio 101 class

Taking calc 1 and physics 1 rn, definitely going to get a F in both(maybe 1 D on physics if I'm lucky)

I'm gonna try to retake in the summer and do calc 2 and chem 1 in fall. And maybe calc 3 or physic 2 to get to a 2.5 math and science gpa to apply for grove. Pretty confident I could get a A on calc retake and at least a B+ for physic

Anyone else going through this or have gone through this?

I ask someone at the school, they said wu are weighted the same as a F for the grove math and science gpa, anyone sure about it?

Hi! I'm trying to take Calc II for summer and there's only two professors available. One is Chunsae Park and other one is Matthew Auth. Both of them has terrible reviews on rmp. So which one should I choose😭

I am curious about what happens to Grove students after they graduate. What jobs do they end up in and whats their salary (if you don't mind). Also how long did you took to find a job? What was your gpa + projects + amount of internships?
