I regret taking two classes.

As the title says, I sincerely regret taking two classes this semester. I’m taking math 19000 and a speech course. The speech course is fine, but the math is where I’m struggling at. I keep making tiny mistakes, I only passed one quiz and everything else I failed. I studied for hours for the first exam, and I failed that because of tiny mistakes.

I’m stressed out. I haven’t been in school since 2018 and I thought two classes would be okay, but clearly it isn’t. Also with the stress of having to find a job so I don’t lose my Medicaid next year due to the new work requirements of the Big Beautiful Bill, I’m not okay. 😭🫠 I honestly wished I didn’t listen to my advisor when he said that I could take two classes cause I knew math isn’t my strong suit, and I really wished that was the only class I could worry about. Cause even though my speech class is fine, it’s still a stressor having to do speeches.

Part of me wants to drop math 19000 and try again next semester, and only have it be that one class I take. 🫠😭

Where to volunteer to fulfill SNAP work requirements?

Anyone in here on SNAP and Medicaid? Where can one volunteer so that way we can fulfill the work requirements. I’m worried that certain places won’t be good enough to complete the work requirements. I thought about volunteering at an animal shelter but I’m not sure if that’s going to be good. This whole situation has me stressed out because finding a job as a part time college student has been rough, and I can’t afford to lose my health benefits because I’m on medication, and need to see my doctor every 3 months. I’m very stressed and just so beyond worried that I won’t find a job by next year. :(

Is anyone else dealing with this when it comes to the new work requirements. This is stressful.

Online class

When do we get information about an online class? I have speech with Professor Anuradha Herath. It’s my first time taking an online course. How does this work? Is it via zoom or something else?

Part time college student in NYC - work requirement.

So I’m a part time college student in NYC. I’m currently looking for part time work but can I submit proof that I’m a student in college to fulfill the work requirement since it says this.

“Learn job skills, approved by the social services district for 20 hours per week (80 hours per month), that can help you earn more money.
Examples include:
Doing job searches, workshops on resumé writing, or other training approved by your local district. Some of these activities can be done online at websites like JobZone and Virtual Career Center.
Job skills training programs, English language instruction, or educational activities — including college courses, certifications, or credential programs — that help you prepare for work.”

Or would I still need to work in order to receive snap benefits?
