Thoughts on my classes for spring?

im a freshman mech e major making classes for spring semester and just wanted to know your honest thoughts on my course selection. I chose the best professor on rmp except for physics because all of them were staff except 1. I’m currently taking 14 credits right now.

Resources for intuitive of ways to understand calculus 2

I'm currently taking Calc 2 and while I can follow the steps to solve practice problems, my course focuses almost entirely on repeating formulas but I want to build a deep, intuitive understanding of why these concepts and integration techniques work rather than just repeating steps. Any recommendations for resources?

How to avoid graduating late as a Mechanical Engineering major?

I’m a freshman Mechanical Engineering major and worried about falling behind or taking longer than 4 years to graduate. Because I rely heavily on FAFSA, taking extra semesters isn't financially feasible for me.
Due to lots of delays in processing my AP credits, I wasn't able to enroll in any specific engineering courses for my first semester. My current schedule is:
Calc 2, English Composition, Intro to Anthropology, General Chemistry
I feel behind compared to other ME students and wanted to know any tips to catch up! I have around 20 AP credits (including AP Lit/Lang, Physics 1, APUSH, AP Macro, and AP Calc).

class scheduling

I'm currently an incoming freshman at ccny and i havent taken the placement test but im currently in ab and can probably get a 5, maybe a 4 however. My advisor told me i could not take a science yet. Is there any reason yet, she said i couldnt take any engineering courses yet which makes no sense since my friend in the same ab did need a placement test and could easily take these courses. Any help would be appreciated.
