Google Reviews & Services are disappearing from my GNP

Hello everyone,

Very strange thing happening. I run a marketing agency and have started requesting reviews for my GBP to help with local SEO. My process is to send the link provided by Google to my clients, and when they leave a review I leave a reply within 48 hours.

However, reviews are disappearing off my profile with no explanation. I had one disappear last month, then two more last week. Now I only have 7 reviews displaying, yet my profile only says 6 unless you click on “view reviews”, and then you can see all 7.

Also interesting, I list my services (SEO, web design, etc) under products, and last week my Web Design product just disappeared; no email or anything from Google.

I’ve appealed to Google twice, and have heard nothing back. How can I fix this? Everything falls in line with their policies and I can give more information if needed, but requesting my clients to leave a review again is not good practice.

Thanks everyone!

Best way to set new agency site up for success?

Hey everyone, solo-founder trying to set my agency’s site up for SEO success. I’ve been in web design for 12 years and have dabbled in SEO here and there but when it comes to the more technical side of things I’m still relatively a newbie.

So I’ve been work with Claude and have put together a game plan of how to structure the site, but I keep getting conflicting information so I want to make sure I’m doing this right.

Here’s my current game plan:

\- Step 1. Rank for my local town to build domain authority
\- Step 2. Build location landing pages / blog articles to help me rank in surrounding areas
\- Step 3. After my domain has a good foundation and ranking in surrounding towns, target the large downtown areas \~30 miles from me (steep competition)

And here’s my current set up structure:

\- Homepage (Keyword is just the Agency name, not location focused)
\- Location pages (Parent pages for my town and surrounding towns ex. Digital Marketing in XX)
\- Location service pages (Child pages optimized for services in towns ex. Web Design in XX)
\- Industry Location (Location specific landing pages for a specific industry ex. HVAC marketing in XX)
\- Industry Service Location (A combination of all the above ex. HVAC Web Design in XX)

My main concern is my homepage; right now the H1 and all the SEO is just set to my agency name, and I have a separate location page set for my town. However, Claude is telling me I need to change that, and have my homepage be my town’s location page.

To me this doesn’t make sense, because I obviously want to eventually target the larger city in the future, and changing my homepage to a completely different location would tank my rankings I feel like.

But all in all just want to make sure I’m on the right path and setting my site up correctly. I’m publishing a page a day as well as one \~1,000 word blog article a day.
