Need Helps with the Swiss Migration Office’s financial proof requirement

Hi everyone,

I’m currently getting my student visa application ready for UZH, but I’ve run into a bit of a problem with the financial proof required by the Swiss Migration Office.

I’m currently living in Australia and haven’t moved to Switzerland yet. I understand that I need to show access to at least CHF 21,000 per year, with the confirmation coming from a bank that meets the relevant requirements.

The problem is that I’ve looked through the banks on the FINMA list, but most of the ones I’ve contacted require a Swiss residential address to open an account. Obviously, I don’t have one yet since I’m still in Australia.

I’m currently trying to open an account with Dukascopy, but my application is still being processed, and I have no idea how long it’s going to take.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation, where you had to arrange the financial proof before moving to Switzerland?

I’d really appreciate any advice on:

  • Which bank did you use?
  • Were you able to open the account while still living overseas?
  • Are there any FINMA-listed banks that are relatively easy for students to open an account with from abroad?

Would really appreciate any advice or personal experience. Thanks!

Anyone got similar email like this?

So I recently received an email about a job oppotunrity. I was told in the email that it is a NZ company trying to expand to Australia and now they are seeking people Australia wide.

Need some idea if anyone had ever received email like this? I feel like a scam as it is saying the job only require 1 - 2 hours everyday.

Difference of Vorschlag and Ratschlag

https://preview.redd.it/276d2ume566h1.png?width=1383&format=png&auto=webp&s=227b39150572c42823ad1d984c46fd15f0d88d43

I am doing bit of homework and came across the word "Vorschlag" and "Ratschlag". Wondering what are the differences between them, dictionary tells me they both mean suggestion or advice.

Based on the explaination that I can found, I think Vorschlag is more associating with positive meaning like, giving recommondations or providing a solution/proposal to problems. And Ratschlag is more like giving warning to something or someone?
Not sure if I have the understanding correctly, if someone can let me know more about the meaning of these two words?
