Alfatech

I've heard good feedback about Alfatech from other engineers and was interested in applying. I was looking at some of their Senior Engineering positions and noticed the egregious salary range. Is $105k-120k really accurate for their San Francisco office? That seems unbelievably low for the responsibilities of the role.

I think most firms in NorCal would be closer to $130k-160k for a Senior Engineer with a PE.

Tramlining on MYP

Recently picked up the 2026 Model Y Performance. Its my first time owning a 'sportier' car. (Previously had Honda Accord and Model 3 RWD). During my first few weeks of driving, I've noticed a few instances where the steering wheel suddenly jerks left or right. This usually happens on grooved or slightly raised surfaces. It almost always catches me off guard. Looked it up and learned about tramlining.

Is this how all MYP's are or is there an issue with mine? I didnt notice it on the short test drive. It usually happens once a week when I least expect it.

Located in California.

New to the club

I recently picked up the Model Y Performance and its the best car i've ever driven. It was so much fun driving down the pacific coast, I felt like a kid again! It was a huge upgrade over my Model 3 RWD.

I recently picked up the 2026 Model Y Performance and love the car. However, im wondering why they dont include an emblem on the front? It looks like all the Model Y Junipers in China have it. Im thinking about ordering an emblem off Amazon. What do you all think?
