In the middle of body recomp and my endo tells me to try harder to lose weight *rage*

I exercise 3-5 times per week, running plus lifting, haven't lost much weight but I know I lost fat. My last check up 3 months ago my weight stayed the same and my doc tells me to try harder to lose weight.

Just saw him for another 3 month checkup where I lost 1.5kg. I know it's not much but I'm happy with my progress and can see some muscle definition. Doc just looks at my weight and says "you lost little bit this time, not much, but don't give up". It sounded so condescending. Ugh!

Anyone read old journals and was shocked that things were THAT bad/good?

I just read my 2023 journal, it was a hard year for me due to a death in the family. I remember all the circumstances behind all those entries yet it also felt kinda foreign reading it again. Does that even make sense?

After reading through the whole year my first reaction was I had no idea things were THAT bad. Most of my entries were just about trying to survive each day. I remember the grief, the sadness, but I remembered it as a day by day thing. Seeing the whole year in front of me was...WOW.

I'm glad I kept that journal since I've come a long way since 2023 me. I'm in a much better place now. My only regret is not writing more when I'm happy. I tend to only journal when I'm upset. I had a great 2025 but not much to look back on since I forget to journal when I'm happy.

I hope in a couple of years I'll have a chance to look back at a years worth of happy memories.

I've lost yet another hair tie. What item do you have that keeps magically disappearing?

Edit: I'm kinda shocked about the number of replies saying scissors!

I bought a box of ten, and now I'm down to two. This ten pack has lasted more than a year so there's improvement! And it's not like I'm carelessly leaving them around, they have a home! Each room has a specific hair tie placing area. They don't reappear when I do a deep clean either. I swear a black hole has been sucking them up.

Any Macrofactor users here? What is your TDEE?

I'm 39F, 165cm tall, 68kg weight and macrofactor has my expenditure at 1300 calories. I've been exercising 3-4 days a week and finally bumped that up to 1500. Trying to lose weight with such a low expenditure is tough.

I managed to get up to 1800 when I was training for a half marathon last year but the stress of that training completed screwed up my TSH levels and it took six months before I found the right levothyroxine dosage again.

Does anyone else worry that the good days will always be temporary and eventually you'll have the start the whole process of finding the right dosage again?

I got diagnosed with Hashimoto's end of 2024 and after starting levothyroxine it made me feel so much better. It gave me the energy to complete my first half marathon. I had a good 9 months before my thyroid levels went out of whack again.

It took me 6 months to find the right levothyroxine dosage. 6 months of fatigue, brain fog and just in survival mode before I felt better again. Now there's a voice in the back of my mind saying this is all temporary... eventually I'll have to go through this all over again.
