Really happy about today’s haul! Got that 3rd Rail engine at the top for only $150 and it is custom decaled for B&O, weathered and was given Proto Sounds 1. The Lionel ABA set were also custom painted and I got them for $100 total. For all the cars it costed me about $175-200 total. Overall great day!
Picked up this Lionel F3 ABA that were custom painted at a train show today for $100 but they didn’t look quite right, so when I got home I pulled out a white painted pen and gave the frame a white stripe, and man it makes a difference!
Here is a genuine question, for a while now I have wondered what the minimum curve for a 763E Prewar Hudson was, I’ve heard O-72, O-54 and sometimes even O-31 so I’m not sure. One thing I do know is that the plate on the bottom of the 763E says its minimum is O-36/36” I wanted to get on for a while and now have the chance, but I’m not sure if it can run on O-42. Thanks!
That's a Fender Bender! Let my younger brother run my 2338 when the coupler on the Erie box failed and opened (have to put a rubber band on it!) and with my brother recording and not paying attention, at full speed the 2338 slammed into the caboose. Luckily no damages were found, so everything was okay and I got this funny video.
It’s not a Lionmaster, it’s not a RailKing, it’s a Right-Of-Way industries Brass Great Northern N-3. I picked this engine up on eBay recently, and it arrived the next day. It was untested but after a bit of work to the engine I got it running great! To my surprise this engine doesn’t have the stock sounds from ROW and seems to have QS-1/Proto Sound 1. I’m not sure how this conversion was done but I’m happy to have it. And yes, it does run on O-42!
Recently picked up this MTH AS-616 with Proto 1, it was untested, and to my surprise as I put it on the layout (after replacing the BCR inside) it started smoking like a champ. They don’t make smoke unit like they used to!
Another update on my Postwar inspired layout. This time I put some roads down, it's not perfect, but I'm happy with the way it turned out. Used some black foam boards and cut them to shape. Also got some new Plasticville kits, which finally drove me to put some roads down. Feel free to leave some tips and recommendations. (Train running is a 2151WS)

An old ex-Burlington Northern/SP&S ALCo C425 sits gutted and vacant in Scranton PA in the Delaware and Lackawanna deadline. Quite Erie seeing an old iron beast in this condition.
Reading and Northern 802 a real life SW-8 meets its little model from, a Lionel Legacy Reading and Northern 803, might be different numbers but it’s still the same model.
Who said modern and old couldn’t mix? Decided to run my new Legacy SW8 on a little Postwar switching run today.
