Citadel boosts stake in POET by 273% per 13F filing

I have not seen this posted anywhere else but Citadel has increased their ownership in POET by 273% representing roughly 2 million shares. The FUD spreaders can continue to try to push the stock down but we all know the increase in institutional ownership is for good reason. Institutions are buying the dips now when the paper handed retail traders get scared. Citadel also holds 10M in Calls & 4M in puts.

Edit: because people keep commenting “this is because they’re a market maker” this is citadel advisors LLC which manages their massive hedge fund. The market maker is Citadel securities, therefore they are investing in the actual company within their larger fund.

POET bull is back! $40 before EOY

Some of you may have seen my post on WSB or on this sub, but I am back. This entry looked great considering:
1.TACO Tuesday is tomorrow and that’s good news day
2.The institutional investor buying in at $20 was enough to convince me to go all in again. This time I have twice as many of the same contract. These calls will take me to 400k before EOY as my thesis of POET being at $40 before EOY remains
3.What the market is not currently pricing is the fact that POET just got a fuck Ton of capital and now have the ability to work on either acquisitions or growth. I have a strong feeling that $400 mil is going to be put towards a new factory in the US, especially after the change in domicile. If you saw what happened to AAOI after they announced their new factory being built in the US price.
4. POET is going to start announcing more POs in the next few months. The surge in share price after the last PO explains itself.
5.POET does not require as much revenue as other competitors to become profitable as they are expected to have far higher gross margins. This means that POET could be a much more profitable company than competitors in a shorter period of time so the ramp up time required is not as significant
6. POETs communication with shareholders is getting better. This is extremely important to the market as it will signal that the company is ready to get serious and act as a real company
7.CFO is gone soon which will gain more confidence in the company from retail and institutions. That guy fucked a lot of people over (not me as I got lucky and sold the day before MRVL deal was cancelled)
8. Meaningful Dilutions are complete. The most recent dilution at $21/share signals that the stock is not going to be diluted to the levels that it was when they kept diluting us at $7.25. There’s a higher bar now and that will only help POET in raising funds with a lower effect on our % of ownership.

With all that being said, current macroeconomic factors are slowing the market. I will not be surprised if we drop down to $12/share but that’s something I’m willing to stomach. People are worried rates are going to rise. That sucks for small cap companies! But not POET, because their balance sheet has very little debt. Rates will hardly affect POET’s operations as they are sitting on a boatload of cash financed through equity.

Top 50 TFSA for my age

I feel behind, I see others my age making 10000% returns but I can only get like 1000%. Anybody have any ideas on how I can become a better trader?

Full ported into 0 DTE Puts this morning

I saw the PPI report this morning and then we proceeded to pump in pre-market and knew this was a golden opportunity to buy some puts at open. Was planning on putting about 5k but accidentally fat fingered and clicked max and bet my whole 44.5k 😂. I noticed right after I clicked confirm order but it had already gone through. I then watched my portfolio go from 60k Canadian to 40k and then back up to 60k within a matter of 10 seconds. So what did I do? I listened to the wise Warren buffet… “freak the fuck out and panic sell everything” sold 30 seconds later for a $500 gain. Then I jumped into the actual position I wanted with the $5k and made roughly a 75% gain. I know my grandpa is looking down and proud of me for getting these gains through pure hard work instead of diligently investing like some r/investing loser.

POET riding the market sentiment

I am a POET bull, I made a hefty profit over the last few months by strictly trading Jan 2028 calls and some shares. If you are wondering how my portfolio doesn’t take a massive dip. It’s because I sold the day before they announced MRVL’s cancelled order, mostly out of pure luck. I thought that we’d head down to $4/5 dollars per share, but I was dead wrong. I was the bottom signal. I bought my 2028 calls back a couple days ago and sold today and switched into a small amount of short term puts at the top which I also sold today. This stock has been awesome for swing trading. With that being said, I want to caution the bulls out there that IWM & QQQ have been ripping and this has helped POETs share price a lot. When people’s appetite for risk drops and VIX spikes, this will sink heavily and you cannot get scared if you are holding when it drops or the same thing will happen to you when the MRVL news dropped where you sell low. This stock has potential to 10x in the next 2-4 years, but if you get scared out at the bottom, you will not make any money.

I just want my fellow bulls to take a minute to stop and think about how much their shares would be worth if this dropped down to $5/share tomorrow. Would you still be able to stomach that and hold? If you have the conviction that this will rise to $80/share will you have the balls to hold it at $5?

I’ve been on this sub and invested in POET for a good 8 months. I sold last week out of pure luck, expecting a pullback. I still believe that this company has potential and will make a massive recovery as soon as they announce a new PO. With that being said, unless the CEO (Suresh) comes out and makes a very public statement about what happened and how they are going to turn things around, this stock is not going to hold above $5. There is no way I would even think about buying or owning this stock back until we hear from Suresh or it drops below $5. The people still holding or buying right now are catching a falling knife. To those of you still holding, I have been there and seen it drop that low multiple times after the pumps. Consider why you think this stock is going to hold at higher levels? This stock has the exact same amount of info disclosed less the MRVL deal of when this was sitting at $4.
