Need help ..student here
Hi everyone!
I'm an Indian girl who has been admitted to Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech), Hibikino Campus, in Wakamatsu-ku, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka.
First, I'm a bit confused about how to refer to the location properly. Should I simply say "Fukuoka," or "Kitakyushu," or "Wakamatsu"? Japanese addresses have so many area names that I'm not sure what locals usually say.
I have a few questions for anyone who has lived or studied there:
How is life in Kitakyushu/Wakamatsu compared to bigger cities like Tokyo or Osaka?
Are people generally friendly toward Indians and international students?
How easy is it to find a part-time job? Iam a beginner in japanese
How is the public transportation? Are there student discounts or monthly passes for buses and trains?
Is the cost of living reasonable compared to Tokyo?
What are some things that are difficult or expensive to buy there that I should bring from India?
Are there any cultural tips or things you wish you had known before moving there?
Any recommendations for affordable supermarkets, Indian grocery stores, or vegetarian food options nearby?
I'd really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you
