Im in Canada, and lately i’ve seen some people talking about an upcoming “bear” market. Wgat do you guys think? i’ve only recently started investing but should I take out my investments and wait for this bear market to start buying? i’m 18 if that matters.

18YO- having second thoughts about Investing just in 80/20 in ZEQT and VFV.

I got into investing a month ago and so far have invested 5k, 80% in ZEQT and 20% in VFV. I was researching online and saw some individuals speaking highly of the nasdaq 100 index, so i was thinking to split 70/20/10 with that 10% going into nasdaq. What do you guys think? Would it not matter much or would it be a good/bad idea.

I also just want to try and match the market for now until I can get my hands on a little more money then I'll try picking individual stocks.

Is there anyway to register for classes with a financial hold in place?

I logged into beartracks today to make my schedules because registration opens up tomorrow(i’m in mechatronics engineering) But i just saw that i had an outstanding tuition fee that i needed to pay. I paid it but I know that the financial hold wont clear for a bit.

Is there anyway i can register for classes bypassing the hold? I’m really scared the classes i want are going to be full.

Is mechatronics a good choice for someone who originally wanted to study mechanical engineering?

My school just posted our discipline assignments today and I got mechatronics. Mechanical was my first choice but I got mechatronics as my second. I really wanted to do mechanical because I loved engines and moving parts. I also do like robotics but Mechanical related fields are more of an interest for me. That being said is mechatronics still a good alternative to mechanical? The school said I could try and switch my degree after a year.
