Monn. Millennium Magic 'Witchcraft' AM/AOS

Monn. Millennium Magic 'Witchcraft' AM/AOS

My best friend is new to orchids and got this millennium magic from Akatsuka. He is confused on the health of his orchid. some of the roots look good and others are turning brown. He waters once a week and then has it in bright indirect light near a humidifier that’s not spraying directly on it. Any advice on this type of orchid? Also where do you all buy your catasetums?

Premium Rare Orchids Order

Part of my Mother’s Day gift was an order from Premium Rare Orchids (Cattleya bundle). I was on their Etsy page yesterday reading the full description they said: We do not recommend the use of sphagnum moss, perlite, or charcoal on any orchids. Contrary to popular belief, it is great for other plants and some phalaenopsis; however, not good for orchids. The roots of most orchids avoid perlite and charcoal and Sphagnum moss retains too much moisture. We recommend a mix of Leca, Orchiata bark, coconut chips, and a slow-release fertilizer.

Has anyone bought their plants and used a different mix and it worked? I use a different mix for my Catts and leca would be new for me. I’m trying to determine if i should stick with what I know or try their mix for best results.

Hi everyone! I finally had the conversation with my PCP about a reduction. I found some surgeons on the master list I’d like to meet with, but she recommended Dr. Ghaderi. I don’t see any reviews for him, so I thought I’d reach out here. I’d love to hear your experience if you had one.

My orchid is going crazy. I counted 9 roots and 3 leaves coming in quickly 😱. It’s my favorite one and I’m hoping it will rebloom again this year.
