Low-grade fever returns 2 days after finishing antibiotic course for suspected strep

25F) in this past year had 4 strep infections (never this many before). No throat swabs, treated based on clinical presentation.

First treated with Z-pack (3 days), second 6.5mo later treated with clarithromycin, then 4.5mo later treated with penicillin and then 1.5mo later treated with clarithromycin for 3 days and amoxiclav for the remaining 7 days (to ensure suspected bacterial reservoir eradication).

Every time responsive to antibiotics.

The most recent time the symptoms were: very high fevers, white exudate but NO throat pain. Symptoms improved on ABs.

But then 2 days after finishing the course developed racing heart and low-grade fever. It's been this way for 2 days now. Fever does not climb as high as it was with strep.

Please help me understand this.

Feeling miserable

This is my first ghsv infection ever and I'm on day 12 still having new lesions appear (though at least the old ones seem healing well). I was super late into starting the antivirals, i started them on day 6. The lymph nodes in my groin swole up about 5 days ago, exactly when it all was at it's worst and i had some systemic symptoms, but they have still not gone down.

It all seems very atypical to what I've been reading online and it feels like it will never end. This of course comes at a time of major life stress and feels like the tipping point of everything.
