Care Company asking me to go into work when I have a fever
Yesterday I went to a client’s house and I had the flu so the client's family complained. I wanted to take yesterday off as well but the management said no. My shifts ended at 8:30 pm and I went home at 9 pm. My fever worsened in the meantime and I messaged two people in the management that I cannot go to work tomorrow (today). They said because I called in too late, it's not possible.
Do I reply to her "Neither is it appropriate to make people come into work when they are unwell"? Or should I take it to CQC? I have worked with them for only ten days and so many things look weird. One, wanting people to work with vulnerable people when they are unwell. Two, they haven’t given me any PPE yet. Three, and this might not exactly be CQC-worthy, they don't make rotas well. They make people commute 45 mins each way for a 15 mins shift and don't accept no as an answer. Sometimes there is a 30 mins gap between two 30 mins shifts and I have nothing to do in the meantime so I'm stuck waiting in the street. I was out from 7 am to 8:30 PM yesterday but the number of actual paid hours I worked for is only 4.5.
