Best practices: model validation

Good morning all. Hoping I can receive some assistance on doing some validation of my financial model. I understand all the common things you see when you google (trace precedents, trace dependents, etc) but I’m hoping I can be provided some actual best practices.

For example, I’ve been checking my results against the historical models to see if my model is consistent.

I’ve also been changing my assumptions to check whether my outputs seem reasonable.

Any other techniques you recommend?

Sakura Tribe Elder for non-basics

Kinda weird that Google isn’t really giving me a satisfying answer, so here we are.
What are the closest similar cards to Steve that would allow me to find non-basic lands?
The more boxes it checks on the following list, the better it would be for me:
___ Creature
___ 2 cmc
___ Can find land turn 2
___ Graveyard Synergy (Pure Gravy)

I don’t really think it’s necessary to provide a deck list here because of how general this question is but I’ll provide one if you think it’s absolutely necessary.

Help refining/upgrading Sidisi

Deck Link: https://moxfield.com/decks/TvSas2rdLEWxLIfhd1iEow

Currently run Sidisi, aiming for a very very high B3 or low B4. The deck is able to win probably 50-60% of games but lacks a ton of interaction that makes it a bit of a glass cannon. The deck was constructed with synergy and speed in mind.

Asks:
- What are the cards to cut for interaction, and what might be the best/most synergistic interaction?
- Any easy upgrades or cards to cut?
- Thoughts on my reanimation targets? The goal is to choose the most impactful things to reanimate, hopefully to close the game within 1-2 turn rotations. Are there any better choices?

Note: I understand an easy upgrade is to cut my remaining basics and add Thoracle to go for a Thoracle + Hermit Druid combo. My pod bans the use of Thoracle unfortunately. I am open to cutting the basics and going for a different win line after emptying my library, as long as it isn’t an instant win condition.

Thank you all for your help!
