Professionally painted. $400 for painting, $65 for pulls (there’s drawers on the inside). Inside was in perfect condition, so I left it in tact.

When my parents were first married, they had to put in 18’ gates to get a 15’ swather through. When I was in junior high, we had to put in 24’ gates so we could get 20’ drills through. When my dad was sick and dying and the fence was in horrible condition, we put in 36’ gates so a 30’ header could go through…

Now the estate has been sold, and they brought in bulldozers to clear rocks out of pastures and turned the farm into one massive field. There are no gates or cattle at all anymore…

This is actually a church property, and likely not changed in decades. The shrubs you see to the extreme left in picture 3 are lilacs. As fitting as the other plantings.

Planning a kitchen renovation. I happen to like my overhead light fixture and was planning on keeping it. Primary source of light; not the only source. I do have comfortable under cabinet lighting.

I removed a large awning over the patio door when I had the roof done. My neighbor has been in her unit 32 years and she told me the awning was there when she moved in.

This and the bedroom above the kitchen are the only direct sources of sunlight I have in the house.

Could you imagine no direct sunlight for 33 years?
