Progress with MCSR thus far!

Progress with MCSR thus far!

I got into MCSR during the whole ludwig wave, and about 3 months ago a few friends gifted minecraft to me for my birthday. I placed around 600 elo, but have been grinding (I dont have much time nowadays, most days I just play 1 or 2 games if even), and peaked at 1150 elo recently, with a 0% forfeit rate. Currently learning zero setups for when I hit emerald. I'm really happy with my progress and just wanted to share it with yall!

Question about orientation camps

Hello! Matriculating this year, and all my friends going into NUS and SMU are all talking about signing up for different camps, whether be it hall camps or faculty camps or RAG, and theyre all happening in june/July but from NTU's side I havent heard anything about any sort of camp. Does anyone know which camps are the ones to look out for and when they are?

Also, I heard about UOC and was wondering when does the signups for it start, and what its like?

ive been speedrunning for about a month and my times have been getting better, around 18-22 minute each run. I know that at the top level, everyone's friends with everyone because the community is so small. but do any of you play with friends who also speedrun? I assume it would be really nice because you have someone keeping you sane/company and also telling you from a third person view what you did right/wrong. But no matter how i try no one seems to be interested in trying, so I just wanna know how yall find people to play with/talk to in this community 😅

I just got minecraft about a month ago, and ive been addicted to speedrunning. my current PB is about 17 flat, averaging maybe 19-22 mins (if i dont die)? My pace is usually: 4 mins overworld, 4 mins bastion, 4 mins fortress and 4 mins stronghold + end, then the rest of the time is usually from moving to and from the bastion and fortress.

Currently I am working on being more consistent and not dying during my runs. But I want to know which split should I be working on first to maybe push sub 15s and so on later down the road? Recently ive been trying to push my overworld to sub 3 and learning zero (I know its way out of my reach, just something fun for me to learn here and there), but any useful tips/pointers would be nice!
