DIY knitting machine

DIY knitting machine

Hi everyone. I 3D-printed a knitting machine based on this design: https://www.printables.com/model/1191632-flatbed-knitting-machine . It uses Brother KR830/KR838/KR850 needles with 4.5mm spacing. I’m new to knitting and am trying to figure out how it all works so I can get the machine running properly and make any necessary adjustments. I’ve made a few test swatches using yarn with a weight of 1000m/100g. The yarn keeps slipping off the end needles, or the needle catches the yarn but fails to drop the stitch. What could be the problem? Also, could you advise me on how to choose yarn? What length-to-weight ratio (meters per 100g) should I look for, and how many strands should I use? Are there any other nuances I should be aware of? My main goal right now is to knit myself a scarf. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I need help creating my first base, please.

Hello world. I recently downloaded Obsidian and started using it to build my own database. Things are a bit clunky so far. I created a "new thing" template and added it to the QuickAdd plugin. When I run the template, it just asks for a title and creates a card in the "Things" database; I have to fill in the rest manually. It’s basically just a card with an image, a bit of text, and some tags. I already have 30 cards. I’m about to start a project and want to figure out how to configure Obsidian for efficient use. I’ll attach a couple of photos so you can see what it looks like. What’s the best way to set this up? Does anyone have any life hacks or know where I can find ready-made solutions?

Hi! I need help. I just started my career with curly hair and I can't figure out how to make sure that my hair doesn't fluff and, in general, how to properly moisturize, style and dry it.

Current routine: I wash my hair with sulfate-free shampoo without silicones. I use conditioner and squeeze my hair with water. Mise en scene with argan oil I put it with a gel and dry it with a diffuser.

The hair is mostly fluffy from above, but inside there is already a normal curl.
