Music Has Always Learned From Itself

AI music is under “attack” but learning from what came before is exactly what humans have always done. Music history is full of shared patterns, familiar chord progressions, borrowed energy and clear inspiration. Artists learn from each other, build on each other, and reshape ideas into something new. AI should be allowed to learn too. Creativity is not born in a vacuum.

Replacing my old treadmill: Sole F63 or F80 for a heavier user getting back into walking?

I have always struggled with my weight, but back in 2012 I started exercising by going for walks. Over time I got a NordicTrack T7 treadmill and worked up to walking on it 3 to 5 days a week, and eventually light jogging for 45 minutes 3 to 4 days a week. That machine lasted all the way until last week when it finally gave out.

I need a replacement. Due to an injury and a period of inactivity, I am back up to 125 kg (275 lbs) and need to start walking again. Jogging will have to wait until I get down closer to 110 kg because of the injury. For reference, when I started on the T7 in 2012 I was 130 kg and managed to work my way down to 95 kg.

I am now deciding between the Sole F80 and the Sole F63. The F63 is considerably cheaper and fits the available space better. I am not a marathon runner and have no need for advanced training features. This is purely recreational fitness.

Can anyone give me an honest, experience-based comparison of these two machines? No need to oversell either one.

There is no doubt: Suno 5.5 feels like it has been trained on less. It sounds less creative and has fewer sonic possibilities. Suno 5.0 is amazing.

Inspired by the rise of microtonal music, try testing the same prompt in both 5.0 and 5.5. Version 5.0 delivers amazing results, with a lot of variation within the prompt.

With 5.5, everything sounds basically the same. And even when the prompt says no vocals, many of my generations still included vocals.

Styleprompt:

Experimental microtonal rock / avant-garde fusion with driving tribal drum rhythms, hypnotic polyrhythmic percussion, microtonal electric bass and detuned electric guitars. Dark cinematic atmosphere, restless groove, unusual intervals, quarter-tone bends, dissonant riffs, deep pulsing low-end, tense evolving textures. Bass and guitar should use microtonal slides, bent notes and unstable harmonies, creating an alien but organic feeling. Powerful drums with forward momentum, tom-heavy patterns, syncopated kick, ritualistic energy. Instrumental, no vocals. Raw, intense, atmospheric, experimental, progressive, cinematic.
