A Companion App for Your Leagues (Sleepers and ESPN Supported)

Hi all! A while ago I posted about my free to use API on this subreddit, but I never posted the actual product.

League Logs is a free to use companion app (iOS and Android) for your fantasy leagues. It's an ever expanding mix of features but the highlights are:

  • weekly newsletter and feed
  • trade analysis/trade finder/etc tools
  • AI chat
  • roster value tracking (daily snapshot)
  • league and roster insights
  • player and pick values

Completely free to use other than some of the features of usage caps with an optional subscription to have unlimited use.

Would love any feedback or feature ideas. I'm seeing a lot of overlap with what all of us are working on, would be happy to compare notes.

Insights and newsletters for your leagues

LeagueLogs on iOS and Android (free)

u/Niloc_M — 9 days ago

I built a free app that follows your league and writes about it every Tuesday (Sleeper and ESPN leagues supported)

I wanted to share a project I've been building because it solves something I've always loved about fantasy football.

I'm a software engineer who just loves fantasy football, and this has been a passion project for the past several months.

I've been in leagues where someone wrote a weekly newsletter (and one even had a podcast), and it was honestly one of the best parts of the league. It gave everyone something to look forward to during the week and helped keep the league more engaged and more active.

The problem we had was that it never lasts. Writing that kind of content every week takes hours, and now that a lot of us are pushing 30 with careers, spouses, kids, and other responsibilities, it's just hard for someone to keep up with it all season.

So I built an app that does it automatically, it is called League Logs and is available on iOS and Android.

It currently supports Sleeper and ESPN leagues.

As soon as you connect your league, it generates a full recap of your league's current state and history -- stuff like covering contenders vs. rebuilders, power rankings, roster breakdowns, league rivalries, trade history, and other storylines unique to your league. The purpose of this is to provide your league with weekly content/entertainment, NOT to tell you who to start or how to run your team. This is intended to make the game we all love more fun.

Then every Tuesday it publishes a new edition that isn't just a generic fantasy recap. It follows what's happening in your league, including:

  • Trades and what they mean for both teams
  • Waiver pickups and whether they could change the balance of the league
  • NFL news, injuries, camp battles, and depth chart changes—with analysis focused on the managers in your league who roster those players
  • Dynasty and keeper implications based on your league's rosters
  • Ongoing league storylines that build over time instead of starting from scratch every week

The newsletter is delivered in the app with a push notification when it's ready, and every edition also has a shareable web link so you can drop it straight into your league chat.

Right now it makes the most sense for dynasty and keeper leagues, but obviously once the season starts it will make sense for redraft leagues too.

Everything I've mentioned above - the initial league recap, weekly newsletters, trade analysis, and league insights - is completely free forever. There are a few optional premium features (like heavier AI chat usage and some advanced tools), but I wanted the core experience of keeping leagues active and engaged to be free for everyone.

I'd genuinely love feedback from other commissioners. If your league had an automated weekly newsletter, what would you want it to include? And are their any other features that you think would be cool?

P.S: I know that with the current trend of people vibe coding little side projects people are getting kind of tired of hearing about them and tend to have very low expectations for them. That being said, I feel compelled to say that I have a degree in CS and have been working full time as a software engineer for 8 years and have been building side projects like this all along the way... you can check my post history. so maybe try it before you totally write it off!

Dynasty Trade Value Chart

Hey all,

Here is a trade value chart that I put together. The valuations are recomputed every 6 hours, so it should hopefully stay in line with the market! The largest signal used to determine the values is ADP for the format. Below I'll put the full Dynasty SF values but if you want to see 1qb or redraft formats you'll have to go to the full site.

Would love any feedback on the values if anything feels off. It's hard to find a way to compute them automatically reliably. The current algo I have matches up pretty well with some other resources out there like KTC, but I'm sure there might be some valuations that feel off since this approach definitely loses some nuance.

Built a free fantasy football API (redraft & dynasty player values, recent news, etc)

Hey all, figured some of you might find this useful!

I’ve been working on a fantasy football side project (LeagueLogs) for a while, and one of the most annoying parts was finding decent data. Most APIs are either expensive, outdated, or missing stuff.

So I ended up building my own pipeline to aggregate everything I needed, and at some point it felt dumb to keep it private so I exposed it as a free API.

It’s pretty simple right now:

  • player + rookie pick values across formats (dynasty + redraft, 1QB / SF, PPR variants)
  • this is probably the most useful piece, I couldn’t find this anywhere usable so I had to build my own model
  • full player dataset keyed by Sleeper id
  • per-player values across formats
  • short status blurbs from injury / transaction signals
  • these are nice for giving LLMs quick context on what’s going on with a player
  • basic NFL state (season / week / etc)

No API key, no signup. Just a simple GET request.

Docs + everything: https://developer.leaguelogs.com

Only ask is just a small attribution link back if you use it.

P.S. is there any data you’ve wanted that’s weirdly hard to find for free? There’s a decent chance I already have it and could expose it.
