Volontary work

Hello everyone. I'm a 19 y/o girl who recently moved to Vienna.

As I can't afford spending time with horses and sadly am not licensed as the country I come from doesn't do that, this is what I'm offering: I'm an A/L level of dressage (doing dressage for past 2 years), expirience in young and green horse training (past 6-7 years), jumps up to 0.6m, endurance competition experience, western recreational riding experience, groundwork, lunging, desanitazion of the horse, etc. In order to keep spending time with horses, I'd offer a free service to anyone who can't afford more riding lessons (in English or Croatian, as my German is still quote poor), some stall help, or help around training your young horse, preparing your equipment and bathing the horse on the day of the competition (logistics), etc. The only condition is that you must own a horse, have access to your riding arena, and agree with some fo my terms and conditions during the practice (which are mostly to not talk back as much, unless you don't understand something, physically feel like you can't do it, or simply have a bad feeling about what we're doing) The trainings will be discussed before and after they happen, such as some theory by the way as we're preparing for it. When it comes to horse training, I'd need your guide about horses injury and/or illnesses history, what is the horse used to, how long has it been with you, etc., mostly basic stuff so it can help me understand horses behavior better. This is a short description of what I'm offering, as I am looking forward to getting back on practices soon and get a riding license for my level of knowledge, and would be glad to help any of you out just to be able to spend some times with horses again, as I've been riding with no breaks for past 14 years and this 2 month break (because of me moving here) is very hard for me.

There's also a possibility of a horse share, but then conditions change. I must be able to ride it at least once a week in arena and maybe once on a trail ride very 2 weeks.

I must be able to compete the horse (if the horse is suitable for competition and isn't just used as hobby), and I'd then pay a monthly fee by the arrangement.

NOTE: the lessons and stall helping will be happening at the stables your horse is in If you like what you've just read and you're down for free service sometimes, for more information, pictures and videos contact me via WhatsApp or SMS on the number I'd send you privately

An other note: this is for my own good and love towards horses, I won't ask anything in return and this can also be a one time thing if you don't like my coaching style

If you're interested and from Vienna and around since my radius is about 30-40km with public transports or ÖBB, feel free to comment "DM"💕

Horse prices, Austria

I'd love to know why are horses in Austria so expensive. Sure, some have mad pedigrees, some are trained super well, but why can't I find a green 5y/o, that's only broken in so I can build my own horse? It's very hard especially considering my height, and the disciplines I do. I can only afford one horse, and back in Bosnia, before I moved here, I competed and trained for endurance and dressage on one horse. She was an Arabian mare, 5-6 y/o and only broken in when we met, and 2 years later she's doing super great. Unfortunately she's not mine and she couldn't be brought to Austria with me since she sadly wasn't for sale. My budget is very tight, and I don't care about having equipment right away, but when buying a horse, I'm offering 1000-5000k max for only broken in horse, with no special pedigree or knowledge. In Vienna, prices are mad. I've seen them for 10-15k €, with no special pedigree, breed, or skill. What's all that about?

Forigne country

Hello, guys.

I've moved to Vienna recently to live with my boyfriend. Due to his job and our current issues, I feel very isolated and lonely since I don't have friends yet, and have been rejected to every job since. My German isn't rlly good, I only know the basics and am still learning. I'd love to meet some friends who are interested in horses, videogame, sports or other things like art, makeup or painting.

This is really desperate, but isolation from the world is killing me since I'm an extrovert and am used to activities, coffee getting or going to practices with people. I'm unable to go to practices until I get a job, which is killing me as well, since horse riding is my everything since I was 5 y/o.

I'd like to ask for advice how to socilaze, bcI also have anxiety again, since this is all new for me. Forigne country, forigne language and forigne cultures. I don't think it would be okay to just approach people I find cool and ask them to hang out, more less it would be weird.

So if anyone wants to at least play CS2 or league of legends with me, I'd appreciate it very much.

I know this is embarrassing, but I'm only 19,almost 20,and literally desperate for normal social life back.

Edit: if this is too embarrassing, someone pls lmk so I can delete it. I didn't mean anything bad, it's just that due to the situation, before (and possibly after) I get a job, I would just like to have someone to play games and joke with.

Discussion and in need of an advice

I (19 female) and my boyfriend (20 male), we'll call him Jesse, have been in a relationship for about a year. We moved in together recently, but since his mom had problems with the other apartment and moving, we're all together in a small apartment for a month and a half, and for next 3 weeks. I moved 700km away from home. So Jesse and I are having issues. A lot of them. 1st it was weed smoking, which we used to do once in every few months, then it turned into a once a month thing, and in the past time he's been smoking almost 2-3 times a week, even when I'm begging and asking him not to. I have a brother (30 male) who struggled with severe weed addiction that has lead to other drugs, then eventually back to weed which has caused him severe paranoia, aggression (both physical and mental) until he finally got off and was in the clinic. Now I fear my boyfriend will become like that too. Back to the topic. Yesterday we were supposed to go out w his cousin who recently got a kid but is still smoking. He used to smoke every day, but now it's once a week thing. I myself don't take weed very well and it causes me severe anxiety or even paranoia so I rarely smoke since I know I had a problem few years ago. So Jesse and me have known each other for 6 years and we're best friends. It enevr really bothered me that he can smoke more. But yesterday when his cousin (we'll call him Carl) canceled, Jesse and me still went to the plug anyways and I had to cover for him that he didn't smoke. Today wee were supposed to go to an amusement park with Carl and there's a lake and some walking paths too. Of course, when I heard Carl was still going, I decided not to. Jesse asked me if I wanted to go and I responded with "no since you're gonna smoke" and he said OK. Later I called him to the room and asked him if we can go just 1 week without weed. He responded with: "well that was the plan for today, so after today, I can take as long pause as you want". I cut him off with no need with teary eyes. In the past time he also doesn't encourage intimacy, and I noticed it only happens when I do, and that he doesn't even get hard sometimes which has lead to me asking if I'm unattractive or pressuring him to whicg he responded with a no. Jesse is an introvert, he isn't down for many activities and stuff and I respect that, but he's also avoiding important conversations. He never talks about feelings, he doesn't wanna talk about intimacy, he doesn't let me know much new about his past partners (stuff he told me when we were just best friends) and is also being pretty avoidant towards me. I myself used to and still sometimes do struggle with mental health, which I've warned him about before moving in and he yet thought he could handle it. I asked him once why isn't he encouraging intimacy and he said it's because I've changed...? I was going and still am thru the episode with my grandpa being severely sick and about to die, brother still working on not going back to addition, absent father and mother struggling to be put together for all of us. He has family issues and issues with his ffther as well, but since I'm currently unable to get a job I'm mostly home, even tho I go outside while Jesse and his mom are at work. Today I stayed home and played CS2 with my friends, to clear my mind enjoy some time online, while Jesse was out w Carl and they ofc smoked and didn't even go to the park. I've been feeling ignored, lonely, avoided and as if he lost feelings for me. He'd then wonder why I don't feel like cuddling, or why do I play cs2 so much. When I tried to explain, I get interrupted with: "we already had this talk", and it goes on in circles for days now. Even tho we haven't actually had a talk... Also I feel unsafe opening to him anymore bc he doesn't open ro me, so I feel as if my feelings and thoughts could be used against me.

Any advices on what I should do???

Alt equestrians

Hello fellow equestrians. I couldn't find a community especially for just for us so I'm posting in r/Horses. I have a tiny concern. I come from Bosnia and Herzegovina and not many people are equestrians there, and it's needless to say I was the only alt equestrian I've ever seen on competitions or any stables I've ever visited there. Recently I've moved to Vienna and want to fit in nicely in new stables and idk which ones to chose to not be judged for colorful hair, piercings and tattoos.

Question 1:

Anyone know why do people judge us and treat us like we know nothing about horses just because we're different then them?

-I'm treated badly for how I look and for being an atheist and underestimated even tho I ride at M level (I know, nothing too big but I've switched from western to dressage only 1.5y ago)

Question 2:

Does anyone know any stables in Vienna or near that would be welcoming towards newcomers, especially alt looking ones?
