Alimentum to Nutramigen

Hello, my 6 week old has suspected CMPA. Ped made us try alimentum first due to blood in stool. After 1 week, blood in stool has worsened and she was getting very gassy and fussy & screaming & crying at mid feeds. Today, I called the ped and she told us to try Nutramigen. I tried giving her Nutramigen today but she started screaming and won’t take the bottle. She is clearly hungry as she is rooting and she would take a few sips and start screaming again and squirming and crying again and again. It took me almost 45 mins to feed her 3 oz bottle. With alimentum it was a little bit less time to feed her. She hasn’t eaten as much as she did with previous formulas like Similac 360 and Alimentum. Also the spit up is MUCH worse. Like a lot of liquid comes out of her mouth. I also feel like she has reflux but ped doesn’t want to start any reflux meds this early. I know it’s been only today since starting Nutramigen but we are really at a loss at what to do anymore. What should be our next step in helping our girl?

Hypoallergenic formula trial

My 6 week newborn switched to Alimentum due to suspected CMPA 1 week ago. We were told to switch because she had specks of bright red blood in her stool (very little amount). Her stool didn’t have any bright red bleeding until Today, her stool had streaks of bright red blood (more than before we switched her to alimentum) and very mucusy. Is this normal after switching to a hypoallergenic formula? Should we wait out the 2-4 weeks? She seems like she’s in pain when she’s feeding and sometimes latches off screaming. We just feel really hopeless and heartbroken for her.

Black specks in stool

Baby is about 6 weeks old

We recently changed formula from similac 360 total care to similac alimentum due to suspected CMPA (found bright red blood specks in stool). We changed formula 3 days ago and today, we’ve noticed that there’s so many black specks in her diaper and about mucusy. I understand the greenish color can be normal but are black specks normal? Is this also blood? Is she not tolerating this formula?

I combo feed (pumped breastmilk + alimentum) I would say the percentage is 30% BM and 70% alimentum

Help with newborn baby

Hello, my baby is 12 days old. And she’s been getting fussier and fussier with endless crying. Everytime we feed her, she keeps arching her back and turning her head and rolling her head over and over again. She’s drinking her bottle with no problem but whenever we try to burp her afterwards she throws a fit. And won’t sit still. She keeps rolling her head and arching and fidgeting. I’m just so anxious that something is wrong and we can’t do anything.
