Moving from messy spreadsheets to Business Central + Project Operations

We’re a UK business finally moving away from a mix of spreadsheets, old accounting workflows, and separate project tracking. Finance wants Business Central, while ops are pushing for Project Operations because most of our work is project-based and billing gets messy fast.

We’ve got Infinity Group involved on the implementation side, but I’m trying to get my head around what we should clean up internally before the real build starts. Our customer records, project codes, cost categories, and approval flows are all a bit inconsistent.

For anyone who has done a similar Dynamics 365 setup, what caused the most pain later: bad master data, permissions/security roles, project costing structure, or trying to copy old processes into the new system too closely?

How often are you actually checking your roof/exterior?

I’ve been trying to stay a little more on top of house maintenance instead of waiting until something becomes an emergency.

The roof and exterior were the two things I kept putting off because nothing looked obviously wrong from the ground. I ended up having Wolf River Construction take a look, and it was helpful mostly because they pointed out what was urgent, what could wait, and what I should keep an eye on.

Made me realize I probably should’ve done a basic exterior check sooner instead of only thinking about it after bad weather.

For other homeowners, how often do you actually have someone inspect the roof, siding, gutters, that kind of stuff?

Is there a real price difference between big companies and marketplace-type moving platforms?

I'm moving from one apartment to another and, honestly, when I see the price quotes from traditional moving companies, I feel like I'm paying a fortune for a service that only takes a few hours anyway. I wonder if we're just paying for their name and big infrastructure, while there are much more optimized alternatives on the market for transport logistics.

Edit: Found AnyVan, thinking of using them. Anyone used them before?

What's the biggest mistake people make right after a car accident?

Most people know to exchange information and call insurance, but it seems like a lot of problems start in the days and weeks after the accident rather than at the scene itself.

For those who've been through it, what was the biggest mistake you made after a car accident?
