Recommendations?

My family and I are planning a week(ish) road/camping trip to Nova Scotia the first week of September. We plan to stay a few days around the Halifax area then hopefully make it up to Cape Breton. I’m just looking for some recommendations because I’m having a hard time deciding the best route and place to stay. We want to drive the Cabot Trail, do the skyline trail and the Gypsum mine trail. Probably more as well. We also want to camp close to the water or on a campsite that is right beside it. What campsite would be the best for these activities? Or just to get the most out of Cape Breton?

Confirmation of enrolment

Does anyone know when western or kings does confirmation of enrolment? I know most schools usually do it before classes start. Just wondering if it’s usually the end of August?

Does anyone else have a HCBM that tries to outshine or outdo the other parent/household?

Basically the title. I have posted here many times before regarding HCBMs behaviour ranging from withholding SKs and claiming I should be paying her CS among many other things. She is a textbook narcissist so I know these are the types of things they do, but it’s mind blowing and still really hard every single time. Lately so many things have happened that you would think the SKs would see through and they do for a short period of time and then go right back to being by her side. This year my DH planned to take SS to his first real concert which is today. A couple weeks ago she picked him up to take him to a local concert during DHs summer month (we are never allowed to pick him up during hers) but it fell through because it ended up being 19+. Today she calls SS “confirming” he can still go to a concert with her in a couple of weeks and then proceeded to ask questions about the concert tonight with his dad. It absolutely just blows my mind that she never before was ever interested in concerts and if she was would refuse to take her kids. DH and I have always gone to many concerts each year and had planned to take them when a good one eventually landed on DHs time. A part of me feels embarrassed for her that she has to scramble at the last minute to try and outshine our memories and another part of me is irritated that she still is doing this. This isn’t the first time either. There’s a long history of her taking them to do the same activities right after we do but out doing it by posting it first or spending a ton of money on them.
