Star Wars and Othello

Anyone ever notice how Star Wars Revenge of the Sith(ROTS) and Othello have identical plots? I mean George Lucas must have plagarised to a degree.

--> A general who is treated differently/alienated because of a quality that puts them outside the norm of their peers (Anakin being recruited at age 9 and being the chosen one; Othello being subjected to racism.)

--> Goes on to be manipulated by a cunning, influential figure (Palpatine and Iago) who both have apprentices they use to achieve their goals and use them as canon fodder (Dooku and Cassio)

--> Both Anakin and Othello are forbidden to love their wives because of social stigma/rules and do so in secret.

--> The 'general' is manipulated and led to believe something awful will happen involving their wives (Desdemona and the handkerchief, Anakin's visions of Padme dying)

--> Both Anakin and Othello end up killing their wives through some form of asphyxiation, though both of their wives manage to get some last words in before succumbing to their fates.

--> Anakin 'dies' and is replaced by Vader whilst Othello kills himself.

Also Ewan McGregor had a role in an Othello play and as Obi Wan in the film lol.

[M 18] I'm straight but I like femboys? (slight nsfw)

Context: I'm straight and have always have been(?) prior to maybe the last few months anything romantically or sexually other than women was an absolute turn off.

But I just kinda noticed over the past while I've become attracted to femboys especially after exploring subreddits with that theme lol.

At first it was kind of like a mental block but after a while I warmed up to it and I guess it gets me going idealistically and also sexual attraction wise.

I don't know any and haven't ever really seen femboys in real life very often so I don't have much of a reference for just how much of an online fantasy thing it is apart from reality; however feminine men still gross me out just as much as masculine men do. It has to be like a FEMBOY femboy if you're picking up what I'm putting down.

Be warned about the following paragraph; when fantasizing or jorking it about/to femboys I have to be like REALLY horny or else it just doesn't do it for me compared to women but to be fair it doesn't gross me out either compared to maybe a couple months ago when I'd never explored it. So idk am I straight with an ever so slight lean? Or is it under the bi umbrella? Idk

Canon skins and troopers

Anyone ever get slightly off put by everyone having completely random skins on GA or supremacy?

I can't help but notice the 41st camo clone skins in the middle of Naboo or everyone using shoretrooper skins everywhere in rebellion age modes.

I have a deep hunger inside me for a large scale mode that has the four trooper classes only and canon skins on to have a true star wars battle you know?

This might be a bit controversial but I think a large scale regular trooper mode wouldn've been really awesome kinda like HVV.

Palpatine is not good for the roster at all.

No matter whether you're playing against him or he is on your team it takes away from everyone's gameplay especially in HVV.

He is the character that requires the least amount of skill to play out of any hero and is easier than every blaster (I know he's not a blaster but on the dark side roster he takes up a slot for one of five blaster villains).

When he is on your team he steals kills, blinds you with his dark aura which over saturates your screen and sucks the fun out of gameplay because nobody wants to engage you when you have a palpatine near you.

Playing against him is worse because of that same overwhelming screen problem and he is incredibly evasive whilst not even needing to aim to do consistent damage.

Any other 'blaster' needs to figure out how to get around your block and then aim and hit you in order to melt you the way palps does, which is a pretty fair system; the problem arises when you are fighting two or more people you simply cannot survive because of how easy it is to just melt you as palpatine especially with dodges making him already hard to hit in a 1v1.

He also isn't really countered by any other blaster because he has way more mobility and doesn't have to aim which is even worse because blasters can't block.

It's impossible to play offensively when playing against him because you'll get melted or die before doeing significant damage to anyone.

It's impossible to get the most out of the game when he is on your team because he just ruins the gameplay.

Stop saying characters are faster than light.

Unless it is explicitly stated, your character is not faster than light just because they dodged a laser beam, lightning bolt or reacted quickly to something.

I can explain why using one or two examples; In martial arts/combat sports that involve striking (punches, kicks etc) a fighter can slip, catch or block a shot but that isn't because they are faster than the limb moving towards them. The reason they can deal with the shot is because of *anticipation*.

They don't see a hand coming towards their face and then instantly dodge the punch, they see the left shoulder move and realize the opponents left hand is probably about to fire at them and PRE-EMPTIVELY slip the punch based of PREDICTION and MUSCLE MEMORY/COMMON SENSE.

Your character isn't faster than a laser because they dodged it, they just saw they barrel of the gun/the opponents hand pointing towards them/the magical glow before an attack and then moved before the other person fired it.

Kratos isn't swing his blades faster than Hermes is moving; he only hits Hermes because he doesn't have any space to run and eventually gets hit by the overwhelming amount of obstacles.

Hot Take:Weak Kratos is better

In the Greek games Kratos is noticibly stronger visually, even if you disagree with that because of *power scaling* (which I think is silly and not accurate), Kratos dispatches bigger, stronger beasts and Gods, more quickly than he does in the Norse games.

Not only is Kratos visually weaker combat when it comes to what we see him do but all those jumps, twirls and acrobatic movements *look* small because of the way the camera is framed in the Greek games, he can't perform the same feats in the Norse game with ease and finesse.

There is a visually identifiable disparity in strength between the Greek and Norse saga which in my opinion is *BETTER*. I think it serves the story more if he is a more pale version of his younger self and it makes sense since his youthful rage has somewhat subsided. He also doesn't have access to all the Greek magic he did before.

It serves his growth as a character and makes sense that he would forsake wrath fueled power in the stead of level headed-ness and peace which is what he slowly embodies more and more over the Norse saga.

I know as fans we *WANT* him to be all powerful because it's a fun fantasy-but for the purpose of story telling him becoming weaker with age is absolutely better for the narrative.

Enjoy this revenge montage.

Before this the guy was being really friendly, tried block spamming and he killed me. I hate 'COWARDS'.

What your Luke Skywalker skin of choice says about you

As a Luke main I've noticed you can generally tell what kind of Luke player you're up against based on their skin of choice.

I have 1140 hours on the game, never played a starfighter mode.

I only really play supremacy and HVV and I've never even touched starfighter assault or hero starfighters and I've heard theyre kinda dead anyway and I wasn't the biggest fan of the space combat in the campaign.

Should I give them a try? Are they worth playing?
