Added Napoleon during the retreat from Russia to my game

I will admit it's not fully realistic though as they should look much more tired and disheveled!

Is the friendslop trend the way these days for indies/solo devs?

I follow the game dev community on Twitter/X and every time I hear of a success story (eg >100k sales) it's always this "friendslop" format. Small casual multiplayer games made in two-three months, with a slightly different mechanic, often with store assets.

Meanwhile every single player project I see is a multiyear grind, making content and levels and story and custom arts for several years and then going on to do a few thousand sales - and that's if the game is actually good and well made.

Is this just an impression? Not sure about the stats for actual solo devs.

Interlude: a roguelite FPS dungeon crawler where each room is a world inspired by classical painting. Gameplay is a blend of Risk of Rain 2 and Vampire Survivors

This is currently a free browser game in early stage, but we're thinking of launching on Steam depending on player reception. It's available here:

We’re still in the exploration phase, any feedback or suggestions to help shape the project would be welcome!
