iec visa extension

Hi, i am a first time australian traveller to canada. I arrive in a few days, and i have all my documents and insurance, etc. but my problem is that my passport expires in jan 2028, so they wont give me the full 2 year visa. I know i can apply by mail to extend it to 2 years once i have my new passport, but does anyone have any idea if I need to be physically in canada to extend it? Or can i work the winter season, go home and get a new passport back in aus, then apply via international mail as long as i do it before the original visa expiry date? (jan 2028) or do i need to apply for a new passport at the aus embassy canada

Help much appreciated, thank you!!

Appointment with Aspen tomorrow and now im reading reviews

I am an international employee working in the usa with travel insurance that covers dental. I have a wire glued to the back of my teeth (i think its called a permanent retainer.) one of the glue tabs broke clean off, so i need to get the glue broken and get new glue for just one tooth. I called my orthodontist back home and they said just go to a general dentist and get it fixed like that. Booked with aspen cause they were the first one that popped up when i googled but now im reading reviews. Are they going to screw me over when i know exactly what i need and i'll refuse to get anything other than the wire reglued or is it safe enough to go there (scranton office)

Sleeping in a car torres del paine

Im on a budget trying to get into TDP around September 20 and im trying to avoid the ridiculous accommodation pricing, so i thought why not rent a car and sleep in it, which also makes transportation easier. However, im reading limited, mixed opinion articles on the legality of sleeping in a car. Some sites are saying only camper vans are allowed in designated areas (cars arent allowed) and some people are saying its legal to drive and park on a road just outside of the national park. Does anyone know what the rules surrounding this are? Thank you!!
