New content skipped a portion of the game

Loaded in after the new update and was immediately greeted with Octogirl talking about someone named Madonna. Never even seen Octogirl before. Makes me think the game skipped a big portion of content due to someones fuck up

Something i've seen nobody talk about in the Mother Courage Lifecycle trailer

Skipping all the other information and fan theories, people ofcourse caught on to them. This detail however i've seen absolutely 0 people talk about despite how obvious it is.

I believe mother courages are either war heros OR it's a warhammer dreadnaught situation. Specifically the Mother courages were female soldiers before they were put into their cyborg bodies. And that they're heavily used as war propaganda, like old war heros sent out to drum up support for war bonds in the old world wars.

We now know that Mother courage units have different looks, very likely modeled after their actual faces/bodies before being cyberized. During the parade scene when she looks back to pose for the selfie there's a screen behind her featuring a normal human woman. That woman looks identical to the mother courage, except with red hair. I'm fairly certain this was her actual human body, and her cyber face/hair was modeled after her real appearance. It makes sense during the parade they'd show details of the Mother Courages before they were cyberized to honor their sacrifice.

This is what i wanted Arc Raiders to be, but i sorely wish certain aspects of this game were more like Arc Raiders

Specifically the movement, animations, and enemy AI. I feel like this game has a ton of potential but the actual mechanics need way more polishing. I know the movement just got an update but i really can't tell that much of a difference. Still get stuck on small obstacles, can't climb most of the environment despite being chest high, etc. The animations for landing, vaulting, climbing still feel off. Getting those good convincing and weighty movement animations would help a ton. And finally the AI. It's dumb as fuck. The AI being so stupid is the only reason anyone in this game can circumvent the "You're not the hero" feel the game is supposed to give. You can easily outsmart most enemies. Give them better AI and this game will fulfill that fantasy of trying to survive in an actual wartorn hell.

Really just a rant, i love the feel of the games setting but you can really tell it's janky with the way the core mechanics work. Really think they need to put a pause on new content and focus on polishing all the core mechanics- movement, combat, enemy AI

Question about Arks longetivity in the face of greed

How long do we estimate people will allow Snail games to get away with its current predatory business practices? At present between making us rebuy ark, the pay to win DLCs, pay to win tames forcefully put into the game by default (cough pyromane cough), and paid mods that are very much pay to win and give most of their revenue to snail games instead of the mod makers, i'm surprised that it's lasted this long. Not to mention locking engrams of things that 100% should be in the base game behind DLC like Lost colony (cough pet display cough) and the ludicrously op skill tree in lost colony (that doesnt require you to be in that map to use it, the most eggregious pay to win mechanic yet).

I know there will always be shills who will defend their favorite game no matter what, and youtubers who propogate this sort of behavior because they'll buy all of the crap for content. But seriously, how long do we think the average survivor will put up with this?

I am genuinely curious. On the cusp of another no doubt pay to win Bobs dlc
