I created A math formula for Peni's mines
I watched a video about lineups and wondered if the motion of mines could be described through a formula to calculate angles for lineups.
When you spawn into practice range your cursor is dead set in the center of your screen. That was the only way I could think of to get my cursor at an angle I would know being 90° granted my mouse might have shook a bit.
I used a stopwatch on my phone to time the flight time of peni's mine's. The mines at 90° flew for an average of .55 seconds for a distance of 22 meters.
To find out how strong gravity was I got up somewhere high with rocket cause he is the smallest and I think gravity is the same for all characters unless you use your passive. For a height of 9m he fell for .6 seconds so gravity is 15m/s but further testing gave smaller numbers never going under 14.4 though. I used 15 cause i like whole numbers.
I didnt feel like learning so I used a projectile motion calculator with the info and ended up with a velocity of ≈ 8.372
There is a lot of room for human error in these tests but the flight of Peni's mines can be modeled by the formula
8.372sin(2θ)
D= -------------------
15
Im gonna test this out but its useless without a way to see angles and with all the changes in elevation. But I put way too much work into this to give up. Im gonna study this for a bit and update
