The Search for One Bag…

It all started in fall 2024. For nearly a decade, I’d been faithfully carrying a flat crossbody Cole Haan bag in teal. Amazing leather, perfect bag, but after ten years of daily use, she was looking pretty rough. Time to find its replacement.

I ended up with a dark blue metallic HOBO bag and really liked it. Shortly after, I flew to Atlanta to visit my daughter. As we were leaving dinner one evening, I completely face-planted on the concrete. Bloody nose and all. And wouldn’t you know it, my brand new bag took the hit with me.

So there I was, back on the hunt for one bag again. And then it happened. The Coach Cargo Shoulder bag. (Pictured, isn’t she beautiful?).

I don’t know if I damaged my frontal lobe in that fall or what, but I haven’t been able to stop buying Coach bags since. I regret nothing.

So what is the bag that started it all for you?

Dang, I think I’m in love 💚

Coach Outlet Andre Barrel Bag 24 has officially won me over. Such a great little bag, and I’m a sucker for silver hardware!

No thoughts, just 2019 and 2020 Coach supremacy 🤫

My little corner of the Stuart Vevers archival era featuring the Willis reissues, the Courier, and my new teal Cityblock bag.
I might get a little flak for this, but this era completely clears current Coach. The leather is heavy, the hardware feels real, and best of all, they are sitting beautifully on the secondhand market just waiting to be loved. There is no staying up all night, no instant sell outs, and zero stress.
Look at what we've been sleeping on!

Show me your earlier Vevers bags.

Dear person who is about to return that Coach bag,

First off no judgment at all. Returns happen. We've all returned bags for one reason or another.

But I need to ask you something. It's small. It costs nothing and takes approximately 11 seconds.

**Please. Roll the bag straps.**

Sometimes when you order a popular bag, you're going to get one that's been returned. I get it and accept it. But a strap with as many crinkles as my gray hairs? It hurts.

That crinkle has a name now. I call her Tammy and she whispers it to me every time I look at the bag.

Please treat the strap with just a little bit of dignity. Roll and tuck it gently. Maybe say something kind to it.

The person who receives the returned bag thanks you.

Sincerely,
Me and Tammy
