The user of VI is a bipolar person who experiences intense mood swings of positive or negative emotions. This unpredictable behavior later manifested in the form of a stand based around these emotions.
Ability: emotional magnetism
VI has the ability to change a persons polarity based on their emotion at the moment. if they were happy at the moment, they will have a positive charge, if they were sad or angry, they’d have a negative charge. The charge given to the target is linked to the users emotional charge as well. If both user and target share the same emotion, they will be attracted, and vice versa.
note - The targets charge is tied to the last emotion they were feeling the moment the charge was assigned to them, if they were happy when given the charge, their charge will stay positive even if they feel angry or sad in the middle of the push or pull. only the user can change their charge mid interaction.
Application:
if an attractive bond is active, the target will be brought towards the user no matter what, giving them a perfect oppurtunity to strike them with a stand rush. for a repulsive bond, the target will be pushed away about 10 meters away from the user with incredible speed and force, making obstacles standing in the trajectory become incredibly dangerous.
one bonus addition is the fact that VI is not tethered to its users emotional charge, meaning it can wander around the 10 meter radius at will, making it easy to surprise attack the target if they’re being repulsed back.
weakness:
since the user is bipolar, they can’t control if their emotional charge could suddenly flip or not, making it so that the user must think on the fly for any move they plan to take against the target. for example, they could be in the middle of repulsing a target when suddenly they get a feeling of joy which then brings the target right back to them unexpectedly.
TL;DR “dancing, walking, rearranging furniture“
colors are inspired by that one pointing cover art of him
haven’t drawn this dude in a hot minute so wanted to make up for it
wanted to mix both shueisha and anime coloring in this one
JacksonFive’s user is an aspiring musician, much like Akira Otoishi. Instead of rock and roll however, they dream of reviving the old days of pop and disco. They hate other genres, claiming they are “trashy” and “a blight to music” This distain for other forms of music caused him to develop a triggered reaction to other people’s musical tastes that aren’t his, similar to Todo’s “what kind of women is your type?” question, he can also be triggered by hearing someone’s music taste in passing. This reaction also causes him to be an impartial force for rather the Joestar or JoFoe side of a conflict, only caring about music rather than morality.
J5’s user’s way of attack is as follows:
step 1: music appreciation
J5 blares a blend of disco and pop music all around the speakers surrounding its head. The music is cheerful and groovy, and the area of its effect can reach as far as the earshot for the anyone who can hear the music. The precision of the music being blasted is very poor, so J5 is unable to specifically pinpoint one target from a group of people. Due to the cheerfulness of J5’s music, the effects of said sound segway to…
step 2: forced bliss
whoever hears the music is forced into a state of bliss and happiness, this can spell their doom due to the fact that their enhanced happiness and joyful attitude causes their defense stats to drastically drop in order to enjoy the music. This period of jamming is the perfect time for J5 to strike or stand rush the target, breaching their defenses to deliver powerful strikes. Once struck, the music stops playing and the user has to wait for around 10 seconds until the speaker and punch combo can be used again.
weakness:
J5’s music is unable to drop the defenses of deaf people, obviously, and during the 10 seconds of downtime, J5’s defense drops instead of the targets, making it very easy to counter once the music ends if the enemy is close enough to attack the user back. Another weakness is if the target is tone deaf, the effects of J5’s music is drastically lowered to almost near pointlessness
TL;DR - Forced music appreciation that punches you
bonus: I wanted to redesign this stand because after looking at it, it really does just look like Dio with Civil Wars head
I picked up the series on a whim and had a genuine blast reading it. u/_Filter , your series is amazing and I hope to see more chapters to come!
The user of Nasty Habits is a person who has completely lost his faith in humanity. He’s seen the dark underbelly of society and its negative impacts on life as a whole. As a result of this cynical belief caused him to adopt the belief “no one is pure, we all have negative aspects.” This belief caused him to develop a stand built to expose any targets dark side and behaviors, but to even higher extremes.
Activation:
in order to be put into effect, NH must be inserted into the target on any part of their body. NH is about the size of a quarter, so the user tends to plant it on hard to reach, and/or out of focus, areas of the target, such as their back or hidden in the hair. Once implanted onto the target, NH gets a ”file” on the persons bad habits and negative aspects, this is when its ability can be put into use.
Ability: Bad habit enhancement
using its obtained file, it begins its process by whispering faintly into the targets mind and suggesting to partake in their said bad habits. NH command is absolute, so resistance is futile and the action will be performed. for example, if the target has a shameful smoking habit, NH will faintly suggest “a pack would feel quite nice…” and the target will obey and proceed to smoke a cig, but not just one, or two, but up to a whole pack. NH is able to enhance a persons bad habits to extreme conditions. drinking a pack of beer, gambling heaps of money away, or even enhancing perverted behavior, nothing is outside of NH’s reach in terms of a bad habit.
Application:
due to this extreme demonstration of their bad habit, the target is more prone to harming themselves slightly, if not gravely over time. for instance, having the target smoke an entire pack of cigarettes will greatly hinder their lungs and breathing capacity, or drinking a whole box of beers can cause the target to black out. by slowly wearing the target down, the user is able to land a swift and brutal finisher by their own hand
weakness:
no power or speed - once placed on the target, NH is completely stationary, unable to move or attack if found out
ooc behavior - even if NH is able to skate by with a few cases of displaying someone’s bad habits, it would be suspicious if a companion of yours continues to act out of character to who they‘ve been before being targeted by NH
TL;DR
A bad habit enhancing parasite stuck to a target, forcefully commanding them to perform extreme acts of their bad habit
