Hey guys
Looking to start a proper business in Bangalore that can run without me being there every day — where I set it up, manage it, and it operates on its own or with staff.
I already have a full time job and I WFH, but I want to make more money as I have commitments.
Not looking for a side hustle, want something real and scalable.
Would love to hear from people who have actual experience with this, or know someone who pulled it off — and what the budget looked like too.
Happy to hear both success stories and failures. Drop your thoughts below! 🙏
Hey Bangaloreans! I'm planning to build a house on a residential plot in Kammagondanahalli (BBMP limits) and trying to figure out the best water setup.
Here's my current plan:
- BWSSB Kaveri connection as primary source
- Large underground sump (10,000-15,000L)
- Rainwater harvesting system
- Or just borewell and BWSSB
My concern: is what should i go with so i will have a good water source and at-least a little safety at times of crisis
Worried about Bengaluru's long-term water situation. Would love to hear from people who've dealt with this firsthand!

We have a small old house on a 15x40 site and are planning to demolish and rebuild.
Option A:
Ground floor: 1 BHK + parking
1st floor: 2 bedrooms
Option B:
Stilt floor: parking only
1st floor: 1 BHK
2nd floor: 2 bedrooms
Main doubt:
Does a stilt parking floor cost almost the same as a normal residential floor, or is it significantly cheaper? Roughly how much cheaper per sq ft / percentage?
Also, would you recommend companies like Brick & Bolt / JSW One Homes, or directly hiring a contractor? What’s the safest and most cost-effective approach without too much middleman markup?
