Hi everyone! I(20F) have this issue with my little sister(14F).

Last week was mother's day, and i have prepared hand made gift for my mother, cause i'm kind of broke plus my mom likes handmade gifts. I invited my little sister let's name her amy to do it with me. Which she declined, cause she said she's tired. I told her i understand, and that we will make at least breakfast for her together. The day has arrived, i warned her before night that we have to wake up early, cause we will make breakfast. She agreed and we went to sleep. The next day i woke her up, and she said no, claiming that she's tired. I said okay and didn't push anymore. I gathered flowers, made food, then woke up my little sister to present the whole thing together.

She came with me, but she didn't even give her wishes, didn't hug her, or show any gratitude towards her. Then she left claiming she's tired. My mother didn't seem hurt, but this morning she expressed her feelings to me. She is hurt by her behavior, and that she could at least make a card for her. Of course she didn't demand anything, but it's understandable that she's hurt. Especially cause her dad (our grandpa) passed away not long ago, and she is extra emotional(understandable in my opinion).

I decided i'm going to talk with my little sister. I told her that i don't want to fight, and i just want to talk to her about it. I was calm, i told her that our mom feels hurt, and that she should make up for it. She answered with anger, and started telling me that i don't understand her, and she's not doing it to be mean but because she's tired. Which I understand, she's a teen, a lot of things are going on with her, but I don't think it's acceptable that she didn't do anything for our mom. Especially cause she's an artist and she does multiple arts everyday. At least she could have helped with the breakfast.

Now she's mad at me, and i feel like I might have overstepped (even tho me and my little sister are really close, she's basically my first child). So was i wrong for asking her to makeup for mother's day?
