Mitsubishi Connect renewal

Mitsubishi Connect renewal

Happy one year anniversary, right?

Mitsubishi connect celebrated by ending trial with no apparent way to renew it, or am I missing something?

No option to renew.

No contact.

No support.

It IS mitsubishi, so can't be completely surprised.

Anyone sharing the pain or a solution?

Locator not Tracker

Car is in the shop for hail repair & I thought I'd see where it was this week (of 4 scheduled).

Pulled up the app with this result.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Since I'm the registered owner of the vehicle and authorized/verified user of the app, not sure who's privacy is being protected. A car thief? A mechanic? An unauthorized driver?

And who is this privacy-concerned "we"?

So THEY know the location of my vehicle but I can't?!

Seems a bit shortsighted - capability without the function.

Can still see miles driven with no limit, so...?

Community thoughts?

2026 outlander phev SE in Colorado

Stopped at skyline mitsubishi in Colorado today. They have ~6 2026's in stock, including an SE I took pictures of interior...

Quick flyover of tweaks made from 2025

Redesign of console = leveled out with less weird cracks and contours. Moved cup holders forward to the right & turned alignment by 90 degrees. Dropped weird pockets molded into side.

Bigger screen.

Metal speaker covers

Not sure if it's perspective or that I keep my seats adjusted to a "high" position but seat belts seem mounted on taller stem for easier access? Might just be user error on my part

Didn't start it but by looks of main driver screen display the user interface may have gotten a redo.

Physical Key on 2025 - leaving car running

I'm posting here to share my experience and open a conversation to see if others have experienced similar (useful?) quirks

My work requires me to often maintain cabin temp when away from my vehicle. To that end - the 2025 SE with remote climate control via the app (not remote start) is a perfect fit.

Once the climate setting is activated, the vehicle can be unlocked using the key fob in the usual way or the app.

Alternatively - the vehicle can be locked manually & left running, even with keys inside (resulting in several lockout threads on reddit - my old subaru would not allow this, running or off). I had a locksmith produce a traditional key from the physical key in the fob. Sidebar on the modern world we live in - he was able to do so from a picture texted to him - he never saw or had the original key from the fob ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).

I keep this key on my work key chain. This allows me to return to my locked running vehicle and manually unlock the door for entry. Just faster/smoother process than activating remote climate control & waiting on the sometimes-long delay of the app.

When the vehicle is running, the usual ways to unlock it via the buttons on the fob or touching the exterior buttons on the vehicle do not work. Unlocking requires using a physical key in the driver's door handle.

***HOWEVER***- the touchless kick-operation at the rear door still works when the vehicle is running, opening the rear door & unlocking the other 4 doors. Not sure if by design or oversight, or what engineers were thinking (disable touch & remote unlocking, but leave kick-operation) it's worth knowing next time you get locked out at the car wash.

Not how other manufacturers do it, but fortuitous to find that's mitsubishi's take!

Way too long a post, but figured if anyone wanted to know this it would be my phev tribe here!

Re-mulching neglected beds

We're working on getting our neglected beds back in shape.

Currently - we have landscape fabric over soil, and a 2"-4" thick matrix of old mulch, coir, and dry plant debris (dead leaves, stems, etc) on top of that.

Question - do we remove that matrix and spread mulch in its place? Or is that mix serving a purpose of retaining water/decomposing, so thin it out but keep & spread new mulch over top?

Thanks for the direction....
