Which lens is best? SIGMA 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L

I am trying to figure out which lease to buy next. I am a beginner and only have the 18-45mm kit lens that came with my camera. As I have learned and improved I really crave those light and airy professional looking photos and portraits. I know I need something with a lower aperture but I also want it to be versatile. I want to get good at portraits especially outdoors but have often found myself taking pictures indoors too so I want something that will cover both. I've landed on these 2 lenses but if something else seems better I am open to suggestions. I have the Canon R50. I have shot one event indoors and the lighting was terrible and everything was dark and slightly out of focus that could just be a me problem though. Some other photos I've taken are on the beach and while they looks ok its their not awesome because the colors are also darkish and not super bright and light. (also could've been a me problem).

Camera lens help

I’m looking for a camera lens for my canon r50 that is very versatile but is especially good with light and airy clean backgroun blur for out portrait. I want a zoom lens with a more reach than my 18-45mm for things like indoor sports and some wildlife here and there. I also have a budget of ~$500 and below.
