I had half my house sanded and finished then I had old floor torn out and new subfloor and new floor installed.
These photos are before they were sanded and finished and stained.

Contractor caused a lot of damage.
Is this common?
Is it unreasonable for me to expect him to repair all the chips in the wall and paint.
I mean where I’m at on it my house had zero damage on the walls and baseboards prior to the job.
I’m very satisfied with the job BUT
They caused a lot of damage and I fully expect him to restore the walls and baseboards to how they were before the work.
That’s just good business.

But I’m curious as to what’s common and what’s the norm.
I’ll give the company 5 stars if they take care of everything but otherwise I’m Gina end up having to post about all this damage and mention it in a review.
Which I don’t want to do.

He’s saying they’ll take care of it, then he called me and said we needed to have a realistic conversation about expectations 🤣

I told him my expectations are that they repair any and all damage that they caused because i literally just paid a drywall guy to smooth out these old walls as best as he could and a painting company to paint my house and none of that existed before.

Gonna give him the opportunity to do what’s right but we’ll see.
