I reached out to my roommate, and I dont think texting is his thing at all. should i still try to make conversations? what else can I do to keep contact w him throughout summer so move-in is not awkward at all

Hello, im in gr12 and i will be most likely attending macmaster nursing next year. im really scared as i dont know anybody there as I live in alberta right now. Does anybody have tips? ill be living on res and i heard macmaster doesnt have a good social life and is really hard in general
