Byler paintings I did! :)

I kinda rushed through all of these cuz I was so excited around when season 5 came out. I made these 4 acrylic paintings (and 1 digital drawing) within a few weeks of each other which was so much fun + now I have Byler art for my room 🥹

I've had a whole bunch of people say they assume I have a number of possible diagnoses. I'm curious if these specific things stand out to you guys?

It's a lot of writing but I promise each of these points is relevant!!! I'd like some perspectives outside of my own! :)

  1. I like to save tiktok videos to a certain folder for rewatching. The videos are unrelated to each other except for the fact there was a small moment that resonated with me. It could be something cringy/annoying but I still come back and replay that one moment from the video over and over until I feel content with what I saw/heard. Then I move onto the next one. I get more of these videos saved over time then don't really care much for the old ones I had.
  2. If I listen to a song I like I will usually put it on repeat and listen a few more times in that moment, then any time I play music after that I'll play that song again multiple times. My most recent example being Smalltown Boy by Bronski Beat. I listened to it for the first time in January, and by March it said I'd listened 71x. I think the most times I listened to it in a row is 7. it's a 5 minute long song.
  3. I get really stuck on shows for months at a time. Sometimes it'll be shorter, but my most recent examples were months long. The first was Heartstopper. I watched it once all the way through, then again. Then my favorite episodes MANY times. Then I read the books digitally, then checked them out at the library and read them physically. Then I rewatched the show again. I also was listening to the songs from the show everytime I wanted music playing for a out 2 months. I even downloaded the songs to listen to on the airplane while I drew the characters. I even made 2 paintings of it.
  4. My most extreme example is my current obsession: Stranger Things. Mainly, Byler (the ship between Mike Wheeler and Will Byers) I got back into Stranger Things last November, and now in April I am just as interested as I first was. I've seen the most recent season once. My favorite episodes 3 times. I've began rewatching the entire show. I've started almost exclusively listening to 80s music for the past month now. I've read 20+ fanfics, I've paid to have PRINTED OUT 2 of those fanfics that I've re-read multiple times. It was more than 300k words in total from what I've counted. I've done 4 hyper realistic/show accurate paintings, I've paid and gotten stills printed from the show. I've also designed at least 5 book covers of what I think some stories should look like related to it. It's pretty fun.

So.... is that a normal level of obsession? I really just cannot live outside the things I like. It's all I think about pretty much. Idk let me know your ideas 🙏😔
