Something that disturbs me
Would like to keep this short as I am not exactly comfortable discussing this too openly...
So well I am from TN.(tambrahm here)
I have always considered myself reasonable and cordial when it came to social interactions as I have a friend, acquittance from almost every state of India. North,South,North east, west and east India. Yes also I speak their languages pretty easily and consider my social circle "generous and plenty"..
I just have one tiny(actually not so tiny)issue ironically with my own localities here in TN sometimes..
The thing is I have never gone around swinging caste around let alone religion, I don't have a surname neither do my parents(TN ofc). But some of my local friends here when they got to know I am from "you know who caste" all of a sudden got a slight animosity. I mean I don't know why I feel slighty targeted like I have some extra privelege.. there's one who thinks we migrated from "North West India", one who thinks I'll discrimate or has discriminated and one who straight up hates me(In their head ofc)
Ironically I have friends from other parts of the country,other religions,other linguistic groups who have never even bothered with caste..
There is one reason I can't seem to digest like bro I don't have generational wealth, we have the same staring points in university and no my parents or grandparents never discriminated themselves(I know this for a fact).
If someone has faced this before I would lo9ve to discuss more but not in the open.
Tldr:Tambrahm here,have a lot of friends from all across the country but my own people from my home state think I am discriminating because I am tambrahm...
