Hey everyone

I'm having an issue with my Epson ET-2720 printer scanner unit (Error code: E-02 / 100016).

Here is what is happening:

When turned on, the scanner carriage moves all the way to the end position (home position), but the motor doesn't stop. It keeps trying to turn and makes a loud grinding/clicking noise with the white gears skipping teeth.

The white calibration strip under the scanner glass fell off earlier. I put it back, but I'm not sure if I installed it correctly.

My model has two white strips (one wider strip and a narrow one). Should they be placed side-by-side (parallel) or stacked? Which direction/orientation should they face?

Does anyone have a clear diagram, photo, or advice on how the white calibration strips are supposed to be aligned under the glass?

Any help or photos from a working machine would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I am planning to travel to Spain soon on a 90-day tourist visa. My goal is to change my status from a tourist visa to a student visa while I am there.

I’ve heard that Spanish authorities no longer accept switching from a tourist visa to a student visa solely for language courses. Instead, it’s highly recommended to enroll in a Vocational Training program (FP - Formación Profesional) along with the language course to secure the visa modification.

I’ve looked into agencies/centers that handle this process and look for schools, but their fees are extremely high and expensive.

Has anyone here successfully done this transition recently? Is it true that language courses alone are being rejected for visa modifications? Also, if you have any tips on how I can find an FP school on my own without paying crazy agency fees, I would really appreciate your help.
