Post transplant tips and care

Hi all,

I had my transplant surgery three days ago, with my mom as donor. The last 3 days have been pretty up-down, and I had been getting pain and discomfort in the stitches area, I wanted to know from people -

  1. How long does the pain and discomfort last, Today being 3rd day, I was able to stand and move a little but hoping it reduces further

  2. My BP still touches 150,160 by 90,100, for anyone did it take some time for BP to slowly go down, I really want to get back to eating normal food.

  3. How much time does creatinine take to go to lower value, my creat before transplant was 6.61 and now it is 2.6, does it normally take some time to gradually come down.

  4. When did you guys start travelling and going out, and how do you manage outside food, any tips would really be helpful.

Thanks a lot

Things getting worse

Hi all, I was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy last year, since then my creatinine is shooting and it went to 9.9. My nephrologist attributed it to my loss of appetite and low water intake and has currently admitted me for 2 days on Hydration via IV, multivitamin injections and appetite gain syrup. I have gained appetite and having proper food now as opposed to few days back, but my creatinine again spiked up to 10.5 today, I am confused Why and wanted to see if anyone faced the same thing.

Also my 2 dialysis and transplant is scheduled to start on August 18, next month, I had a few questions for anyone who has undergone it -

  1. How much time.does one stay in the hospital after transplant

  2. I have heard that you have to work from home for 1, year after transplant is that true?

  3. Do you get back to eating normal food after transplant.

Thanks

Depressed and Stressed Out, Completely lost!!

Few weeks back due to loose motions and vomiting, my creatinine shot up to almost 9, After that few weeks later, It did came down to 6.52 last week, giving me some encouragement, I was hoping to bring it down more, and this week I went to almost zero salt diet, not even took proteins, somehow creatinine rose up again to 7.4, although I did take my blood test immediately after taking my medicines. But I was hoping it to go down, I am super confused and lost right now. Unable to understand what to do, how to move forward. I will eventually be going for transplant with my mom as donor (her vaccination have started) but until then, I was hoping to lower my creatinine but I am unable to understand what, how to follow, what to eat how to manage. If anyone has any tips for food, work management or anything, I would love to know

Hi all,

One of my friends got interview/written test call for Mtech in EE dept (EE1) via Project Staff Category scheduled for 19th May, I would like to know what does the interview process, questions look like, what should she be preparing for technically and which subjects should she cover more since her background is in IT. If anyone from the Dept or someone who has gone through can provide any tips it would be really helpful.

Thanks
