Looking for design feedback on my virtual pet robot 👾🤖

I've been vibe coding a virtual pet game, and this is my current robot pet design (attached). It's a decent starting point, but I think it's lacking personality and that "I must protect this little guy" feeling.
I'd love to see what this community comes up with.
Feel free to:
Redesign it completely in your own art style.
Change the proportions, colors, face, or body shape.
Add accessories, expressions, animations, or unique features.
Make it cuter, weirder, futuristic, cozy—whatever fits your style.
I'm not looking for people to stick closely to the current design. Think of it as a prompt rather than a final character. I'm hoping to gather lots of different interpretations and use the ideas as inspiration while developing the game.
The goal is to create a robot companion that players genuinely get attached to over time.
