Found her while upgrading their tank. I think she's female, am I correct? I'm relatively new to keeping millipedes.
Dúbia nymphs are so cute. I love their huge armour and tiny heads <3
This is my bone cleaning crew :) there are different morphs of Laevis and also Pruinosus
I love how there's so much free space but they still choose to huddle up all together 🩷
These are the offspring of some wild caught Granulatum that I collected outside. I think there might be a couple magic potions in there but I'm trying to isolate the other morph. I'd like to know if there is a name for it already. They are light coloured but not completely, they are lightly beige/pinkish with white skirts.
From my male only Laevis colony. They keep getting bigger. Some of them are around 3 years old.
Manifest baby millies with me 🐛🙌🏻
They are Armadillidium Granulatum, second generation from some wild caught lil guys from my garden. I've been trying to isolate ( first pic ) but now a bunch of morphs have popped out and I'm curious. I don't even know what to call the first morph. They seem wrong for "magic potion"?
Sorry for one of these dumb posts, I'm sure these are ok but also I'm a bit paranoid lol. I got some new species and I don't want anything to happen to them. Ok so like, will this work if I consistently spray it down ? 😭 I usually use cuttlebone but I miss calculated and don't have as much as I thought.
I'm sorry if this is the wrong sub but I'm trying to declutter and found this vintage watch from a family member who passed away long ago. I know nothing about watches and honestly have very little interest in keeping it if I can maybe get some money for it ? It's been a lil tight lol
I read something about how that's actually what a healthy dúbia should look like but I'm not sure how true that is. I hope not very because she's the only one. Is there something wrong with my other dúbias? They are in a communal ( other roaches ) bioactive terrarium, quite big, I feed them the occasional veg and fruit, nutritional yeast and protein once a week ( usually fish flakes ). They have lichen, rotting wood, dried leaves and moss always available and a piece of calcium from cuttlebone. I have them at room temp which is 18c° at night / morning and around 22c° for the rest of the day. It will become a bit warmer soon.
What do you guys think? Should I be doing anything differently?
They were shipped in with some sawdust? So they are a little dusty but I love them 🩷 they are so pretty and look like true Portentosa. Cheesebro ( my male ) has been twerking all over the tank so I think he's pretty happy too.
He's the only one that looks like this ( from my Maculatum colony )
Just got my first P. Werneri! Is this enclosure good enough for the flats ? ( I will upgrade when my new tank arrives and will add some sticks and lichen. )
Also, do they like to borrow ? Should I keep the tank mostly dry ? I've gotten mixed info on this.
Any advice from peeps who's had success with this species would be amazing! Tia!
NID !! It's been so long since I got new species
I got 4 new species !!
Cubaris Murina "Papaya", Armadilidium Klugii "Montenegro", Oniscus Asellus "Orange" and some FLAT FUCKS !!!!! PORCELLIO WERNERI, FINALLY !!
- and a couple more species I already had just to expand some old gene pools. Very excited ! Any advice on the 4 new species is much appreciated ! :)
I know very little about these guys apart from the fact that they are super cute, but this morning I was thinking maybe small a spider could help with the gnats without bothering/being bothered by my cockroaches.
