I am a near 30- filipino 🇵🇭 rac*st gamer, I haven't played ranked league for a long time now. I'm in the unc status of my life so I would like to impart my impartial knowledge as best as I can (with statistics) This is not to say I condone the act of toxicity but to respond to the criticisms I saw from the people over in this subreddit from other countries and from fellow countrymen.

Background: I have cursed a lot of people in my life, but it was usually back in LoL Garena PH. The most toxic I would ever be was with my fellow Filipinos. However, I never got banned. Till post-merge... this was when I went 0/12 velkoz supp (🦑azzap wannabe🦑*) a*nd said some pretty mean things. I see the world differently now because I can't play the demanding time sink that higher-tier gameplay needs.

My peak rank was Masters 120lp (excuse the D2, I decayed because of the ban) last year 2025. Right now and I'm sitting on E1. I have played with Challenger players as a low masta player and trust me, I'm still way out of my depth even in that higher strata. Hence, why I'm making this post, high enough in the ladder to understand, low enough to care about this issue.

I speak on some level of authority because once you reach D2 above that's when you are in the top 0.01% of players. I'm the best of the worst.

PH 🇵🇭 SG 🇸🇬, MY 🇲🇾, TH 🇹🇭, ID 🇮🇩 - these are the countries in the Unified SEA server. Here are the quick stats:

• Monthly ➡️ 1.3 - 1.5 M unique active players
  • Of these around 780,000 to 975,000 log in from the Philippines 🇵🇭
• Daily ➡️ 300,000 to 380,000 across regions
• Rank ➡️ 450,000 unique active accounts
  • Of these rough estimates is 270,000 to 290,000 are active Philippine-based 🇵🇭 accounts
  • Considered Mid-Tier level, globally ranked 9th (top 10!) in ranked player base

Here are some hard hitting pills you guys need to swallow; this is what is Objectively TRUE

• Historical LoL Garena influx - VN and PH were the only places out of the old garena servers to deserve their own dedicated servers because of the numbers, when VN 🇻🇳 got their own when they started doing well internationally, PH was left as the sole contender in the Garena sphere (at least LoL-wise)
• The Unified SEA server - is basically the LoL Garena Filipino server, with add-on countries, they maintain around 60-65% of the player base.
• You will encounter a Filipino - statistically common for 6 to 8 out of the 10 players in the lobby to be coming from the Philippine

Explanation: Toxicity in any elo is always a given. High to low elo it will always be there. Higher elo is more tamed, but lower elo is where some really stinky gameplay occurs.

Due to the naturally high number of players you will interact with you will associate toxicity to Filipinos, and you know what? Rightly so! but that's the same in multiple servers and tbh in any race! Take for example the Global #3, EUW these countries consist of DE🇩🇪, FR🇫🇷, GB🇬🇧, ES🇪🇸, IT🇮🇹, NL🇳🇱, BE🇧🇪, PT🇵🇹, IE🇮🇪, CH🇨🇭, AT🇦🇹, LU🇱🇺. Considered to be the most toxic server in all of League because of the number of players who are of different countries.

We are not so different, you and I. The discrepancy is skill and knowledge.

So why does toxicity still happen then? Its usually when a reaction to a perceived "mistake" that either party will swear on their life that they were in the right. Objectively there is a right way to play the game, due to the fast-paced nature of the game you do not have the luxury of time to tell them in the moment. This results into insults and profanity as the next best thing to channel the anger into. Its an outlet. It's a competitive environment. It happens.

So how to combat it? Become better at the game OBVIOUSLY /s. Seriously speaking, its about instilling habits that winning players do. Check the map, track cooldowns, become a mechanical god, be the best shotcaller, use smart pings, develop a gank sense and finally be humble.

Humble enough to look at your own mistakes, admit them, and to listen to them.

Final thoughts: Unified SEA Server is a Filipino-dominated Server, you will see Tagalog/Filipino spoken in your games, to whine about is to Shout into the Void. It will just consume you. It is something out of your control.

This goes out as a PSA for those seriously thinking of improving ok. Take away the other 9 players in the game and what remains is a mirror. Focus on what you can control.
