DI no nips (of course) w/ Dr. Jonathan Keith Livingston, NJ.
Beyond ecstatic about my results!
I just had top surgery (DI no nips) 2 days ago with Dr. Jonathan Keith in New Jersey. I’m currently wrapped up with drains. Extremely sore and in pain but I’m so unbelievably happy. I can’t wait to finally see my chest and share the results. I never thought that I would ever see the day.
I barely post on Reddit but I’m just so happy I want to celebrate🎉
3 years ago, I made a post about to ask for advice about my situation. This was during the time I thought my life was falling apart because my parents found my testosterone and threatened to kick me out.
I now sit here today in my own place, 2 days post top surgery, living with the love of my life (who has also been taking care of me), no/little contact with my family, no longer want to commit unalive, and finally being free. I have a new family and a community that celebrates who I am. We even threw a party to celebrate me being on T again, and recently, for top surgery.
The small things like not having to hide my T in pairs of socks or keeping trans tape with me at all times so my sister doesn’t find it to now not having to hide everything is a life I never thought I would see.
So to answer the question to myself: yes it gets better. To answer someone else asking the same question: yes, it gets better. Things will still be hard, and my life is far from perfect, but it does get better.
Keep on going❤️
TLDR: 3 years ago I was scared about being kicked out and homeless for being transgender and was forced to stop T. Now I’m recovering from top surgery and back on T again and living the best life I can.
Edit: you all have such kind words I did not expect this post to reach a lot of people. Thank you all❤️🥹
