Handbrake question: how many clicks does yours do, and when does it start to engage?

Hey guys I'm adjusting my mk7's handbrake. Have the interior apart now.

How many clicks does your mk7 do and when does it start to engage?

Following the Ford's manual it tells me to tighten the cable until the distance between the handbrake arm on the caliper and the stop is within 1mm but at that point I'd need around 10 clicks which is too much for me so I'd rather not. At around 3-4mm it'll do about 7 clicks, and at 3 clicks it's starting the engage

Update for stuck spacer nut

Hey guys, thanks for the recommendations on my other post for the stuck nut.

I finally managed to get it out by grinding the SHIT out of the nut, stud and fucking spacer. Managed to screw up my rotor too so doing a full set of rear brakes now (which it already needed).

Anyways, I still appreciate everyone who commented and suggested the oxy torch and welding a nut on it. It'll definitely come in handy in the future

Wtf would you do?

This 19mm (now <17mm) nut WON'T BULGE I TRIED EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERYTHING!!!!!!

EVEN GRINDED IT DOWN AND TWO OF MY EXTRACTOR SOCKETS ARE SLIPPING!!!!!!!

I TRIED HAMMERING YES, HEAT, WD40, RUST REMOVER, IMPACT, HAMMER, BREAKER BAR EVERYTHING

Edit: it's an aluminum spacer I'm trying to get off. Appreciate all the help guys!

Edit 2: maybe I just came across a genius idea: what if I use my dremel and try to shape this lump of a nut into the size of a 16/17mm socket? Maybe it'll catch on like this

Wechsel FiSi zu FiAE sinnvoll?

Hallo zusammen,

bin gerade im ersten Lehrjahr meiner Ausbildung zum FiSi. Betrieb ist okay, hocke manchmal etwas rum aber alles in allem ganz ok.

Jetzt zur Frage. Ich habe in den letzten Wochen gemerkt, dass ich mich fürs Programmieren sehr interessiere und anreizt.

Es ist ja schon bald August und das erste Lehrjahr geht bald zuende - ich habe in der letzten Woche schon ca. 10 Bewerbungen zum FiAE abgeschickt, ohne Erfolg.

Wie soll ich weiter machen?

Soll ich mich für 2027 bewerben und dann im zweiten Lehrjahr abbrechen und wieder neu anfangen?
