Second date: How do I initiate physical contact?

Second date advice: How can I break the touch barrier without making her uncomfortable?

I’m going on a second date with a girl I really like. I’ve always been very shy and slow when it comes to dating, but I’m trying to improve.

I’m going to pick her up by car, and we’re going somewhere to eat and talk. To break the ice, I’m thinking about offering her my hand when we get out of the car, maybe as if I’m helping her out.

I’m worried that if we just walk next to each other without any physical contact, my shyness will take over. I might run out of things to say, freeze up, and nothing will happen because we still don’t know each other that well.

Even though she agreed to go out with me, I don’t want to suddenly go from friendship to kissing her as if nothing happened. I feel like we should at least talk about how we feel or have some kind of physical contact before that. What do you think?

She is a serious girl who likes things to be done properly. I try to keep conversations going, but it has never been my strongest skill. Sometimes I run out of things to say and freeze.

I would really like to leave this second date feeling that we have become closer, hopefully with at least a kiss. I just don’t know when the right moment could happen. Kissing her around a lot of people might feel strange, and doing it inside the car might not be the best setting either, although it seems like the most realistic option right now.

There is a quieter park or square nearby, so maybe I could suggest sitting there with her. But would it be weird to go there right after eating? Maybe we could get ice cream afterward and walk or sit there for a while.

My current idea is that, when we arrive and get out of the car, I could offer her my hand to help her out and break the touch barrier. I was thinking about letting go afterward, but if she seems comfortable, maybe we could continue holding hands.

If she reacts positively, what could I do while we’re sitting at the table and talking? Should I just talk about everyday subjects? Would lightly touching her arm be okay, or would that feel forced?

Please give me some advice. I’m pretty inexperienced with this because I’ve never been someone who goes out very often, and now I’m dealing with the consequences of that.

She is 24F and I’m 23M. I’m open to any suggestions about what I should do.

Imou cameras suddenly showing “Device offline”. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi everyone. My Imou cameras suddenly stopped showing video. I use them over Wi-Fi, and on the PC app/client both cameras show “Device offline”, as shown in the screenshot.

The only thing I did before this happened was restart my router because the connection was slow. However, I have done this a few times before and it never caused this issue, so I don’t think that is necessarily the reason.

Both cameras went offline at the same time, so I’m wondering if this could be an Imou server issue, app problem, Wi-Fi/network issue, or some general outage.

I also already unplugged the cameras and left them powered off for a while, then plugged them back in, but they still did not come back online and continue showing as offline.

Is anyone else having this issue today or recently? Does anyone know how to fix it or what else I should try?
